A CHARITY shop supporting families of domestic abuse has been overwhelmed by kind donations for their latest appeal.
In November Louise Rudd, the founder of the Walk & Talk Today charity shop in Ffynnongroew, put a post on the charity’s Facebook page asking if the public would like to donate gift boxes or gift bags with some gifts and sweets for the families currently housed in domestic abuse refuges throughout North Wales.
A target was set for 60 children and over the past month, the charity has been inundated with generous thoughtful gifts.
Susan Terry, a manager at Global Lift Equipment in Flint and a volunteer for the charity, turned her boardroom into a temporary Santa’s workshop and - with the help of her team - completed 152 individual gift bags and boxes, all of which were overflowing!
