Former Tiger Pitcher Jordan Zimmermann Retires
Former Detroit Tigers pitcher Jordan Zimmermann (pictured) announced his retirement from Major League Baseball on Tuesday morning.
Zimmermann, a Wisconsin native, made two appearances for the Milwaukee Brewers this season before calling it quits. He played his college baseball at Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

Jordan had his best years with the Washington Nationals (the team that drafted him). He led the National League in wins in 2013 with 19 wins. He also was a two-time NL All-Star
He then left the Nats as a free agent to join the Tigers in 2016 on a 5-year, $110 million contract. Injuries and ineffectiveness hampered his time in Detroit. He was 25-41 in five seasons with the Tigers.
