Fears of a Widening Conflict after iran unleashed a barrage of one 180 missiles on israel. The aerial assault swiftly prompting israel to promise retaliation, which could, of course, push The Middle East closer to a region wide war. There is no war in The Middle East. Israel cannot reach. Theres nowhere we will not go to protect our people and protect our country. Hello, everyone. Im jonathan hunt, live in Los Angeles with our ongoing coverage of the crisis in The Middle East. The u. S. Helped Israel Defeat Irans Attack by intercepting about a dozen missiles while Israels Defense systems took down most of the rest of those missiles. Irans escalation in The Middle East became a big Talking Point at the first and only Vice President ial debate. Both tim Walz And J. D. Vance trying to make the case their ticket is best suited to calm tensions in The Middle East. You saw it Experience Today where along with our israeli partners and our coalition, able to stop the incoming attack. But whats fundamental here is that steady leadership is going to matter. We have to remember that as much as Governor Walz just accused Donald Trump of being an agent of chaos, Donald Trump actually delivered stability in The World, and he did it by establishing effective deterrence. It was, as we mentioned, the first and only Vice President ial debate. It covered a wide range of key issues, but escalating violence in The Middle East obviously loomed large over the policy discussion. Correspondent Jeff Paul is here with us in studio with the details. Hello, jeff. Hey, jonathan. Well, the Vp Debate touched on the economy, border security, Climate Change and many other topics, but it was irans widespread Missile Attack on israel that got the night going. Walls pointed to the bidenharris Administrations Leadership that helped israel stop, in part, the incoming strikes, he said. Trump, on the other hand, makes The World more dangerous. Vance responded by saying trump delivered stability in The World and his strength as president prevented major conflicts from breaking out. People were afraid of stepping out of line. Iran, which launched this attack, has received over 100 Billion in unfrozen assets. Thanks to the Kamala Harris administration. What are they use that money for . They use it to buy weapons that theyre now launching against our allies. It was Donald Trump who we had a coalition of nations that had boxed irans nuclear program in the inability to advance it. Donald trump pulled that program and put nothing else in its place. So iran is closer to a nuclear weapon than they were before because of Donald Trumps fickle leadership. Now, the fact that moderators chose to start the debate on this topic speaks to the concerns many americans have over a potential wider regional conflict developing in The Middle East jonathan. Jeff, you you are just back from israel yourself. A marathon six week stint, i think it was over there. Youve spent a lot of time since October 7th last year over there. I wonder what the impression that you got of the people of israel. How much they stand behind the government in prosecuting not just the war in gaza, but now a war against hezbollah In Lebanon and obviously a growing conflict with iran. I think theres sort of two sides of israel. You see one here, an american, one you see there in israel. And on the ground in israel, you see many israelis pretty much protesting their current government. I mean, they really want to get the hostages back home. And its something that they feel that often gets forgotten about every time we talk about a pending Peace Deal coming together or theres going to be some sort of Prisoner Exchange for the remaining hostages. I mean, there are you know, one night when i was there just a couple of weeks ago, upwards of 100,000 people out throughout the streets, throughout Tel Aviv, protesting to try to push the Prime Minister to make a deal, to bring the hostages home. Now, you have another sort of distraction. I guess it would be whats going on in the north with hezbollah and whats going on now with iran. So, again, i think its going to be really tough for a lot of these families and a lot of the israelis impacted by what happened on October 7th because they are trying to get those hostages. The remaining ones back home to where they belong. And it is you know, thats a really good point. It is easy to move the the focus from those hostages when were talking about a region wide war. Really interesting, jeff, could you stick around for a couple of minutes . I just want to bring in nate. Point out that the iranian attack and the israeli response to it witnessed firsthand by all of our correspondents in israel, among them, nate, who joins us now live from Tel Aviv on what is now wednesday morning. Good morning to you, nate. Hey, jonathan. Good morning. So, yeah, its a new day here in israel. Sirens are already blaring in the north and israeli airstrikes are continuing In Lebanon. But as you and jeff were just talking about, The Big Story is the direct conflict between iran and israel. Prior to last night, the two exchanged direct fire only once before, back in april, after israel attacked an iranian consulate in damascus, syria. After that, iran launched ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, but not nearly as many as they did last night. Over 180 ballistic missiles raining down on southern and central Tel Aviv, as you see right here on your screen. Many of them were shot down. Some of them were not. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said that the u. S. Did help israel in defending themselves from this attack. Israel is promising to respond. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that iran will pay for the attack. And prior to the attack, the biden administration said that there would be consequences for iran if they directly attacked israel. Now, i want to show you just minutes before this actually happened last night, Take A Look at this next video. There was a Terror Attack in jaffa in Tel Aviv. Police had to respond to this scene and immediately had to deal with two emergencies at once. Take a look at this. Literally minutes before iran launched its ballistic Missile Attack, people riding a train like this through the Jaffa Area of Tel Aviv got to this stop. The doors opened and two terrorist opened fire with an automatic rifle. They killed six people and injured nine more. I mean, you can see the storefronts here have arabic and hebrew. Theres a mosque right here behind me. Its known for tourism, but the terrorists chose to terrorize our civilians here. They had an update on the numbers, jonathan, this morning. We now know that seven people were killed in that attack, 17 injured. Those numbers could still change as those 17 injured people continue to hopefully recover. Now, The Big Question remains, what happens next . And iran promises that if israel retaliates, which it did back in april, then more attacks will be coming here to israel. So well wait and see what the israeli government decides to do and then in turn, what iran would do in response to that. Well send it Back To You. And nate, i know there was this Cabinet Meeting in israel late tuesday night. Your time weakening. Any indications from that on what the israeli action will be . We know its obviously going to come. Are they going to be looking at military targets in iran . Are they going to look at the nuclear facilities that iran has . Are they going to target the leadership in iran . Do we have any clues at all at this point . Nate . I would say that the nuclear facilities and the Oil Facilities are to obvious targets, but the israeli Government Hasnt explicitly stated exactly what theyre going to do. You mentioned they did meet the War Cabinet did actually in their Jerusalem Bunker for the first time yesterday. So, you know, when we look back to april, there were several days in between when israel decided exactly what its response would be. We could anticipate a similar thing playing out here. Theyre not going to rush this decision. Theyre going to be calculated. They know that the united states does not want them to strike iran in a way that could spark a regional war. But as weve seen here, especially in the past two weeks, israels emboldened right now and they have really stacked up a whole bunch of successful campaigns here in the past two weeks. You think back it was two weeks ago when the Pager Explosions happened. Then they take out nasrallah. They launch the Ground Invasion. Its crazy how many things are happening all at once. The Ground Invasion technically started last night in the early morning hours of yesterday, although the israeli officials told us yesterday as well that special units have actually been into Southern Lebanon several times throughout the war leading up to that. So, yeah, well have to wait and see. Jonathan. Yeah. Nate, let me bring Jeff Paul back in here. Jeff, you were there in april, The Last Time iran fired a barrage of missiles. I think it was about 100 last time. 180 this time. This seemed to be of a different magnitude to aprils attack, which was also launched in large part by drones. That took a long, long time to get there. Very different with ballistic missiles raining down. Yeah, obviously a lot less time to get to a shelter. And i think last time it was a little bit more public what they were going to do. I think the united states had an idea of the scope of the attack. It was roughly 300 projectiles, you know, whether it was drones ,missiles and rockets. But, you know, in this case, obviously, you know, youve got about 10 to 12 minutes to get to a shelter. So a much different feeling at the time. Their response, Israels Response was very interesting. They hit just outside of like a nuclear building, a facility out there. And basically the message at the time, because some people said, oh, this is so insignificant, but it was the Message Israel was trying to send to iran that they can hit those facilities. This time they didnt, but they can hit those facilities anytime, anywhere. They want. And that was sort of the message last time. This time, though, obviously probably upped the ante. Yeah. Jeff, great to have your experience here in studio with us. Thank you. And nate foy, to you in Tel Aviv, thank you so much. We will be Back To You, nate, throughout the next 3 hours. Now, as tension grows in The Middle East, Vice President ial hopefuls tim Walz And J. D. Vance battled it out. In what weve been telling you was the first and only debate before the election. They were asked about everything from the middle East Hurricane Helene to reproductive rights and the economy. Kamala harris is day one. Was Donald Trumps failure on covid that led to the collapse of our economy. We were already before covid in a in a manufacturing recession, but 10 Million people out of work, largest percentage since the great depression. But again, its something that these guys do, is they make a lot of claims about if Donald Trump becomes president , all of these terrible consequences are going to ensue. But in reality, Donald Trump was president , inflation was low. Take Home Pay was higher. Joining us now, our political panel, democratic consultant julian epstein. As well as Fox News Contributor and Visiting Fellow at the heritage foundation, karen skinner. Great to see you both. We all are always so grateful to have you with us at these times of great import and historical import. Before we get to the debate ,guys would love to get your thoughts on what comes next in The Middle East. Thats a huge question, of course. But julian, let me come to you first. Where do you think we go from here . Well, i think the first thing is that the biden administration has to give its unconditional support for whatever israel decides it needs to do. The policy of Diplomacy And Deescalation has failed. Hamas has killed us. The u. S. Hostages, hezbollah has lobbed over 10,000 rockets into israel and the houthis have shut down the red sea. The biden Administration Policy of Diplomacy And Deescalation. I think iran looks at that and sort of plays the biden administration, the west for fools. What israel should do right now, given that irans rockets are a declaration of war, is they should cut the head off of the snake. I mean, i think this is an opportunity for israel to go after the oil fields, the nuclear capability and the drone capability. I think the only way you end this thing and avoid more civilian casualties is if you create a prohibitive cost on iran. Who is puppeteering all of these Proxy Armies throughout the region . Israel is being attacked from five or six different directions. The only way to do this is to make iran pay a serious price. And this is the golden opportunity to do that. Yeah, that would seem to be very true, kyra, on that. This is the opportunity that netanyahu has here to really do some damage to iran, to really put it in a box from which it cannot get out or will not want to. Do you think israel will do that . I believe that It Will, because as youve just said, julian and nates excellent reporting, this is a unique moment for israel of the Twilight War or Shadow War between iran and israel, between iran and the united states really began after 1979 with the iranian revolution. Its been a war thats been going on in the shadows for so long that sometimes we forget how kinetic it can be, how much damage the iranian regime has done, the problems of the theocracy internally and throughout the region, and the extensive network of militias that it has supported and created. And some have gotten beyond what the irgc would ever want them to do. Given all of this, somehow israel has survived and it has survived since october seventh ,and it is on the march. This is a unique moment in which it should strike against the iranian regime. Thats very difficult to say. No one wants a wider a regional war. But newsflash, were already in one. And this is in part due to the lack of leadership in the united states. This will have to be where it was now. Right. And julian, talking of talking of leadership. So we saw two Vice President ial candidates on the Debate Stage. We got plenty of time over the next couple of hours to talk about domestic policy. So lets stay with the international stage. Did you see either of them as somebody who americans could see in the Situation Room as president , god forbid, if they ever had to take over the presidency because of some awful circumstance . But did you see either of them as a potential commander in chief tonight . Yes. I mean, look, neither of them answered the question on whether israel should be given complete support if they want to take a preemptive strike in iran, although j. D. Vance was clear that we should support iran unconditionally. But look, i think waltz did as well as he could. But vance is sort of just a class above. He is extremely polished. He is probably the highest Iq Member of congress, in my opinion, are amongst the highest. And it was a masterclass in debate that he showed tonight and his Proficiency And Polish On The Issues i just think is second to none. I think, you know, moderate republican us who are undecided on this election. Look at that Debate Tonight and they say they wish he was sort of at the top of the ticket. But i think j. D. Vance would get the edge if you were asking the question as to who looked more President Ial tonight. Yeah, karen, it struck me watching them that neither of them was at their most comfortable in talking ing about The Middle East. These are two gentlemen who are not steeped in foreign affairs. It struck me tonight i didnt quite see it that way with j. D. Vance. I think he knows what hes doing. Hes giving speeches and as writings about The Middle East and his commitment to israel in particular. He doesnt want to see a wider war, but he understands the dilemmas that israel and the west face at this particular moment. So im confident that he will make a fine Vice President that will support the president. President trump, on bringing an end to the conflicts around The World with while i was a bit surprised in that same it gave me pause when he talked about pulling out of the Iran Nuclear Deal by President Trump as the reason for this present conflict. Hes not connecting the dots. The maximum Pressure Campaign did put iran in a box and the biden administration just delivered billions of dollars now to the iranian regime, which it has used to fund. Its menacing around the globe. All right, karen and julian, im delighted to let our viewers know that you will be without with us throughout the next couple of hours or so. So well go over much more of the debate and domestic politics over those next couple of hours. For the moment. The world is on high alert, waiting to see how israel will react to Irans Attack. Could we see an all out war in The Middle East . Although, as cameron says, maybe were in it already. More on all of that next. Fears of a wider conflict in The Middle East are growing, as you would imagine, after iran launch that massive Missile Attack on israel that of course came in response to israel, killing hezbollahs leader, Hassan Nasrallah, In Lebanon last week. No casualties have been reported in israel from the iranian barrage. However, there is some damage and now israel is vowing a fierce response. Rabbi mance joins us now here in studio for his thoughts. First of all, rabbi, thank you for being here. What was your Reaction Today when you saw the Breaking News of this 180 missiles being aimed at israel . I saw a few things. Number one, do you remember when america was going after Iraq And Everybody said, oh, my god, the Royal Guard is unbelievable. We weve got to be scared of them. Yeah, we wiped them out in no time. Everybody was killed. Iran had the greatest army in The Middle East. And we got to be scared of them. Mm. They did the best. They couldnt do anything. So the reaction is iran is now scared out of the wits theyve been exposed. Second reaction. You just said it. Nobody was hurt by 180 ballistic missiles. An extraordinary fact. Now, its not just 180 ballistic missiles. Theres thousands of pieces of shrapnel. That means people who are down on the ground, who are outside the car like this, they can get hit. You want to talk about god watching over the jewish people . I know theres a lot of people up that are out there, religious people in the united states. Theyre all saying, yeah, god was watching the jewish people. And its not. The question is, my god taking sides. The thing is, god loves right versus wrong. And this was the third thing was they shot 180 missiles. That is ten times 18, 18 and judaism is life. They wanted to go boom, boom to destroy life in israel as much as they could. Only one muslim person died from this entire attack. What do you think israel should and will do next . They must answer this because if they dont answer it, then they are going to be saying you did so much in the past. Now what are you stopping . They got to go and tax something to make iran recognize. We got you once before. When you came after us, right before passover in april. Now were coming after you again. Iran is going to think twice or three times. Whats going to happen is in the long run, Saudi Arabia is going to see iran back on its heels. Other arab countries are going to start recognizing iran is not what they are. This is the moment we dont have to wait for an election. This is the moment when america, our allies in The Middle East, can go and take iran and chop off that we always see the head of the snake. Seriously, we able to go through the oil fields. We have to go after nuclear reactor. And i wouldnt be surprised if theres some Mossad Agent cleaning the bathrooms somewhere in tehran. But if we talk about the head of the snake, should we really be talking about israel going after the iranian leadership . Because you can destroy facilities, but if you dont take out the people who are actively promoting attacks on who are actively supporting Terrorist Groups in gaza in the shape of hamas, lebanon, in the shape of hezbollah, if you dont take out the people at the top, are you really making an impact . Germany felt hitler was killed even though he committed suicide. What gives the head people just because the head of the politics that theyre able to live, what gives them the right go and get Murder Squads after innocent people and killing them. But they have the right to live because theyre the head of a country. Nobody is safe when you are fighting a vicious war. And i got to be honest with you, if they had the chance, god forbid, to go after the leadership of those that are in israel, they wouldnt even question it. So why is the question, should we do it and should not do it . Youve got to realize israel is not going to go and question who. My question is, are they being held back from a totally destroying what can be destroyed because theyre on a roll now and everybody in The World is right now looking at israel just after the sixday war. Wow. Dont mess with this little country. Its a very interesting point. Are they being held back . Rabbi haim, man, wonderful to have you here and thank you for being here on the eve of rosh hashanah. We wish you a great new year. Thank you. And the very same to you, rabbi. We will be back with much more on what is obviously an extremely tense situation in the east now as we await to see what Israels Response will be to the huge attack launched against it by iran. Yeah, i told you. The Nlds Begins On Fox and fs1. There are growing Fears Tonight of a Widening Conflict after iran launch nearly 200 ballistic missiles that sent israelis running for shelter. But the idf says it remains ready and willing to retaliate following Irans Attacks. Joining us again is Fox News Correspondent nathan choi, live with us from Tel Aviv this wednesday morning, 8 30 a. M. There. Nate, great to see you again. Thank you for being here for us. I wonder as we talk about retaliation, everybody is wondering, one, when its coming to what form It Will take. Reading the Tea Leaves there dead, mining your sources. What do you believe and when do you believe It Will happen . I dont believe its going to happen immediately. I would expect it to happen over the next couple of days. And in terms of the scale. Another thing that im sure many diplomats are working behind the scenes trying to convince the israeli Security Apparatus to not respond too harshly, but based off the recent actions actions of israel. I would expect a harsher response than we saw back in april after you know, that attack from iran, after israel attacked that iranian consulate in syria. And in that case, it was a limited attack within iran just at one military facility. Well see if it several facilities. Well see if its drones, if its missiles. But i would expect to send a message. And we know that the Ayatollah Khamenei has been moved to a safe location. And you cant blame them because of what israel has done over the past two weeks taking out all of Hezbollahs Leadership essentially culminated with the assassination of Hassan Nasrallah in an airstrike in beirut on friday. So israel is on offense right now, despite the fact that iran shot back last night with 180 ballistic missiles. But israel has really had a lot of successful campaigns and strikes consecutively. And i would not be surprised if they continue to be aggressive. And nate, just briefly, i wonder what the mood among the israeli people is. Obviously, there have been theres been some disquiet over the way the war in gaza has been prosecuted and the failure to get the hostages back. Do you get the impression there ,though, that the people stand foursquare behind, the government right now in deciding to do whatever needs to be done to bring iran back in line and to keep it there . I think that there are two camps of people. As jeff had said earlier in the show, there are weekly protests here in Tel Aviv where Hundreds Of Thousands of people gather, calling on the government to reach a Ceasefire Deal to bring the hostages still in gaza home. That being said, there are 60,000 people who evacuated from israels north who are quite happy that israel is doing something about the threat that hezbollah poses. And i think universally theres disdain for the iranian regime here. And i can tell you, when nasrallah was assassinated on friday, it was confirmed that he was dead on Saturday Morning and down in the hotel here, and people erupted in applause at that news. And people were so happy last night in the shelter. People were remarkably calm. They have a lot of confidence in the Countrys Air defenses and theres a lot of support over the actions that the government has taken in the past two weeks specifically. Okay. Nate, great to have you there. Well be Back To You throughout the next couple of hours. Thank you so much. Now, obviously, everybody is talking about now what israel will do next, what kind of response there will be to this attack from iran. Joining us now is lieutenant colonel daniel davis, retired u. S. Army veteran, senior Defense Fellow and host of daniel davis. Deep dive. Colonel, great to have you with us. Let me tap into your experience here. What do you think israel will hit . Well, obviously, there is going to be a response. We know that the cabinet has decided that. We just dont know what It Will be. What do you think it should be . What do you think It Will be if those are two different things . Well, listen, i understand why everybody is, you know, so i guess energetic about an israeli response because this this has happened. But we have to keep things in context. And, you know, from the israeli from the iranian perspective, this has been a long, slow build up where they have been actually fairly restrained from from what happened, from what even the united states would be if we had had one of our embassies destroyed like they did last april, april, if they had had one of their guests killed and assassinated at their inauguration, at their President Ial inauguration, and then the destruction of nasrallah by israel. They have shown a lot of remarkable restraint. But now then they have finally launched something. But youve got to look at what they did and how they did it. And so they they tried to do something to contain it, to limit the damage, limited the casualties for israel. And they have said that they want this to stop right here. But now, when israel goes into response, we have to be very careful that we dont expand this war and then cause israel, iran to have to respond back bigger, because i understand why people want to say that israel should respond. But the the counteraction that we got to look at what would happen next, not just what israel is going to do, but what iran may do. And they have said very clearly that this was a small portion of what they have their capabilities and they could respond even stronger to israel to potentially cause more damage and more casualties. The next time. So im more concerned about this thing expanding into a more bigger regional war than just what israels going to do here next. And i hope the united states is worried about that, too. Yeah, it seems that the message from the White House, we dont know. Obviously, the details of the conversations, but it seems that they if anything, are put trying to persuade the israeli government to hold back a bit. And talking of the us. Of course, colonel, our navy, it seems, was a vital cog in preventing some of those missiles breaking through at least a dozen is, we believe, as we understand it, shot down by us assets in the region. Weve got a lot there right now as were showing on screen how important is that us presence in keeping what remains of the peace in the region . Colonel . Well, thats thats one of the bigger question is, is what is the proper role for the united states to be in here . I mean, we we have to look at the fact that the united states provides has provided for more than a decade 3. 8 billion per year for the israeli army to defend itself. And so im a little frankly, concerned that there is this Reflexive Expectation that the us should fight on behalf of israel in the interests of a nature that could potentially get us drawn into a war. And i assure you, i understand, and again, i truly do, about the emotions that are involved in this. But the united states has to be sober about this, that we dont get so involved, that we eventually get ourselves drawn into this war because that would be catastrophic for our interest. It would not be in any theyre not going to win this anyway. You know, in a war, you cant just fire a few missiles and take iran out of a war. This could if it keeps going, it could expand it to something that could be extended along. And then we have to get into the issue of how many interceptor missiles does israel have . Does the u. S. Have how many can we even make . And this could go a lot sideways, more than just whatever is going to happen next year. Very good point that we nobody can predict what happens if this keeps ramping up. Colonel daniel davis, so good to have you here this early morning. Thank you so much, sir, for being here. And we will have a lot more on the Breaking News out of israel. This iranian attack. And we await now an israeli response. For small business owners, the lifeblood of our communities, upholding the american dream. But tvs also free for thugs and cronies who shake down small businesses for money, then spend it on their girlfriends, even though they have wives. Because tv is free for everyone and we mean everyone. Irans attack on israel was the first issue tackled in the debate between tim Walz And J. D. Vance, the two Vice President ial candidates. But they also, on a wide variety of domestic topics, including abortion. I never supported a national ban. I did during when i was running for senate in 2020 to talk about setting some minimum national standard. For example, we have a partial Birth Abortion Ban in this in place in this country at the federal level. I dont think anybodys trying to get rid of that, or at least i hope not, though i know that democrats have taken a very radical proabortion stance. And were not were prowomen. Were pro freedom to make your own choice. We know what the implications are to be that women having miscarriages, women not getting the care, physicians feeling like they may be prosecuted for providing that care. Joining us now, democratic consultant julian epstein, as well as Fox News Contributor and Research Fellow at the hoover institution, karen skinner. Great to have you both back. Karen, let me come to you first. We dont were a little crushed for time in this hour. Its obviously a busy night. But tell me what, as you watch the debate, what you had time to see of it . What did you see as jodi vances strengths and weaknesses on that Debate Stage . Karen . I felt that he represented it. A young man who has had a a steep Learning Curve and has amazing improvement as the Vice President ial nominee that he was commanding. He was selfassured and he wasnt just presenting Talking Points. When you just the clip you just played of the democratic nominee was disturbing to me because it was just fear tactics and were prowomen. He said. And, you know, all of these issues that you hear repeated about womens rights and womens bodies from Vice President Kamala Harris, you just parroted that perspective without going deeper and giving a kind of Democrat Perspective that goes beyond the surface. It was a disappointing performance. But j. D. Vance, if he can do what he has done in the few months that hes been the Vice President ial nominee, i believe that he will make a fine political companion to Donald Trump in the White House. Hmm. And julian, let me come to you with the same question, essentially. But on the Governor Walz Appearance Tonight and substance, that appearance, what did you feel were the governors strengths and weaknesses on stage . Ill try to be brief on both. I thought j. D. Vance was amongst the best performances ive ever seen in a President Ial or Vice President ial debate. He showed a great deal of Proficiency And Polish On The Issues. He was particularly strong on the economy and on immigration. Tim walz, i thought, scored some points on Health Care and child care, which are important, and i think he scored a significant point on G6 And Republic and sort of brushed aside the g6 issue. I think its a mistake. I think it is an issue for some undecided voters. And i think he he scored a point or two on that. All right. Just a really quickly to both you, julian, first, as ive got you here, does what happened tonight move any votes in any significant numbers . The honest answer to that, jonathan, is we dont know. It may even if it moves it one point, say j. D. Vance won the debate, which i think he probably did. Even if it moves it half a point or a point, thats very significant. How tight this election is. But the honest answer is Vice President ial debates traditionally havent been that important. But i think this one is more important because we dont have two other President Ial debates, kyra, around 20 seconds. Does it make a difference . It does. It was a clarifying moment about j. D. Vance, whos been universally maligned by the mainstream media. He showed himself to be a measured, thoughtful, mature president , Vice President ial contender. And i think voters listened. All right, karen, julian, Back To You. Top of the next hour. Thank you so much for being here. Military and Israels Iron dome intercepted the nearly 200 missiles aimed at israel the White House, says president biden has directed the u. S. Military to aid Israels Defense and as needed ,any more iranian attacks. Joining us now to discuss this, laura bowman, National Security and global affairs expert, and aaron cohen, former member of israels Special Operations counterterrorism unit. Laura, to you first. What do you believe israel will do next . It will take it, correct attribution. It has to both for its domestic audience and for its credibility in the international community. The response is going to be overt. Its always a in a covert war with iran or it has been since its founding. And so we will see probably a attack either on military very intelligence or some sort of Defense Headquarter is or and this is what i think is more likely. On its nuclear facilities, remember. Right now. Tehran is only two weeks away from having an actual nuclear bomb. Yeah. And aaron, would you agree that nuclear facilities are in the crosshairs for israel . And why not go even further . Why not target the actual iranian leadership that is behind support for hezbollah is behind the support for hamas. Why not go all the way at this point . So heres where im out with this, jonathan, im going to say something to the irgc, hezbollah, iran, and the gear, which means that hezbollah no longer belongs to iran. And after firing several hundred missiles at israel today, i believe that israel is in a position right now where they are saying to themselves, down to syria and Tel Aviv, i ran needs to get out of Israels Way to allow them to dismantle hezbollah. Special operations that are happening right now as we speak in Southern Lebanon, artillery that are going over, that is the main focus. The reason why iran fired those missiles, i believe it was a Knee Reaction to the systematic Dismantling And Assassination of their top leadership. They got a ton of egg on their face. And so at this point right now, i believe that israel is going to reflect pretty hard. But i do not think were going to see something immediately. Israel works very clandestinely. All of their operations have been very selective. Thats what i do think. Correct. And i do think we are going to see some targeting of irgc leadership. No different than trump with a course on soleimani. But i also think that the iraqi or excuse me, the iranian nuclear facilities on the table ,i believe that iranian Oil Reserve targets are on the table. And this is a time when israel will act because Biden And Harris may pull the breaks like they did. So i think bibi needs to move quick. All right. Let me get back to laura quickly. Were Running Out Of Time here. Laura. Do you think the White House is holding israel back a little bit here . I think its tried it tried to. And i think its time to take off the gloves. The the time for restraint has to be moderated. Its time to go forward. It cannot go unanswered. And remember when tehran says death to israel, the second part of that is death to america. Israel is fighting our war and we need to support that. All right, laura bowman, great to have you here, aaron. Great to have you here in studio always. We shall wait and see how and when israel decides to respond to that huge if unsuccessful iranian attack. We will be back with a lot more Breaking News. Top of the hour.
