Richard Keith founded RaceRunning Australia in Sydney two years ago, and it has steadily grown around the country, now counting 180 members across nine running groups who meet weekly to train. The organisation is trying to raise more than $180,000 with Fly Into July to buy 25 new frames.
Keith came across the sport in 2018 when his son, Arran, was competing in a triathlon for children with cerebral palsy, and he tested out a running frame.
“Arran ran across the park for the first time at age eight,” Keith says. “I was a grown man with tears, just swelling with pride. The world opened up a bit further for him.”
