Fujian to Kinmen water supply project accumulated more than 3000 million tons of water. Kinmen County suffered the most severe drought in 50 years, and Fujian increased water supply to the Kinmen Water Supply Project, with a daily water supply of 2,57 tons, a new high since the water was connected. The dependence of Kinmen people's livelihood water on groundwater has dropped from 68% in the past to 14.3% in 2021. The vision of "one family on both sides of the strait, drinking water from one river" became a reality.
