GBMC front-line employees get first injections of COVID-19 vaccine

The Greater Baltimore Medical Center on Monday administered its first injections of Moderna's vaccine to its front-line team members.
Among about 200 members to get the doses included members of the system's emergency, intensive care and operating room staff.
"Today, by administering the first round of vaccines to our team members, we start with new efforts to fight COVID-19, and we are very excited" John B. Chessare, MD, MPH, president and CEO of the GBMC HealthCare system, said in a statement. "Since the start of the pandemic, our team has continued providing the care we would want for our own loved ones and held their ground against the virus."
