Review: 'Fun Home' contrasts uncomfortable images with coming-out euphoria at TheaterWorks – Hartford Courant

"Fun Home," the musical based on Alison Bechdel's "family tragicomic" graphic novel memoir, is at TheaterWorks Hartford through Oct. 30. The production unfortunately loses its plot and its balance in telling the tale of a young woman's coming-out at college contrasted with the problems of her closeted gay father.
