Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Forty-four new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Juneau from July 24 to 26. Forty of that number are residents.
"Over the past 14 days, 150 people tested positive for COVID-19 in our community, a significant majority of whom were residents," Mila Cosgrove, deputy city manager, said in a release on Monday by the City and Borough of Juneau. "We have not had a 14-day case count this high during the entire pandemic."
There are 112 active cases of COVID-19 in Juneau as of Monday evening.
According to the city and borough, nine additional people have tested positive aboard cruise ships since Friday--one on the Celebrity Millennium, one on the American Constellation, and seven aboard the Wilderness Explorer.
