House prices cut £30k as stamp duty return blights the market
Sales will drop 70pc in areas that benefited most from tax cut, agents warn
Homeowners in the South East and East of England are braced for house price falls of £30,000 once the stamp duty holiday ends on March 31, experts have warned.
Sellers in such areas will be hit hardest by the abrupt removal of the tax relief and agents said a quarter of agreed sales would fall through if buyers cannot transact in time.
Some vendors have cut tens of thousands of pounds off prices in a desperate bid to make quick deals.
