A HOUSING developer working in Herefordshire has marked the anniversary of the end of the Second World War in Europe with figures of soldiers.
Barratt Homes supported the Royal British Legion Industries (RBLI) after setting up full-size Tommy Club figures at its developments in Herefordshire for the 76th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day on Saturday, May 8.
The firm donated £100,000 and bought Tommy Club figures from the RBLI to help raise money, with the figures a symbol of gratitude and commemoration to those who served and sacrificed.
The funds raised through sales helped to provide jobs, homes, and mental health support throughout the coronavirus pandemic.
