Thanks to half of the Formula One grid's teams having launched their 2021 cars this week in the run-up to next weekend's preseason test, anoraks are hastily firing up their laser measurers searching for performance-promising peculiarities in the designs of different teams' cars.
One of the most anticipated reveals was that of the Mercedes team, who are pursuing a record eighth consecutive driver's and constructor's crown in 2021. They have ominously promised more power from the new W12 than its 2020 version, along with some other unexplained aero trickery, purposely so as to avoid the prying eyes of rivals.
