Bangor-based Husson University has teamed up with Fitchburg State University in Massachusetts to offer two accelerated degree programs.
Under an agreement announced Monday, students at Fitchburg State will be able to complete their bachelor’s degrees in biology or chemistry along with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree at Husson, or their bachelor’s degree in exercise and sports along with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree, on an accelerated schedule.
While freshmen at Fitchburg State, students will be able to enroll in the accelerated programs, for an undergraduate degree at that institution in three years. Those that qualify will then continue in a doctoral program at Husson, saving a full year of study and tuition.
