Two left lanes of Interstate 495 north near the exit to Edgemoor were closed for several hours Monday afternoon following a crash involving a Delaware State Police trooper.
The Delaware Department of Transportation tweeted an alert just after 2 p.m. Monday about the closure. At about 4 p.m., the agency said the wreck had been cleared.
Photos from the scene showed a patrol vehicle crashed into the I-495 divider and significant damage to the front of another car.
