In a first, astronomers witness star's disk beyond Milky Way

Evidence of a disk surrounding a young star has been discovered beyond our Milky Way Galaxy. This unexpected disk in the Large Magellanic Cloud was detected by the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA) in Chile.
