ISRO, the Indian Space Research Organisation, announced on Thursday that a payload on its recently-launched mission has successfully captured its first light from a celestial source. The XSPECT payload, which is part of India's first X-ray polarimetric mission called XPoSat, captured its first light from the Cassiopeia A (Cas A) supernova remnant.
