FLINT, MI -- Five current and former government officials charged with felony crimes related to the Flint water crisis called for preliminary hearings before their cases are heard in Genesee Circuit Court Tuesday, April 6, and a judge said she will consider their arguments before ruling on that request.
Circuit Judge Elizabeth A. Kelly heard arguments from attorneys for the five -- Richard Baird, Jarrod Agen, Nancy Peeler, Darnell Earley and Gerald Ambrose -- and Flint water prosecutors in a nearly two-hour hearing Tuesday before taking the motion to reroute the cases back to Genesee District Court under advisement.
