Inside a historic church from the 1890s, there is a flurry of activity heating up an already warm July night.
"Being able to do this and show the kids what's outside their neighborhood, give the kids a positive role model and influence, direct them in a way I wish I was directed as a teenager, is awesome," said Officer P.J. Logue, of the Kansas City, Kansas Police Athletic League.
