I have good news for commuters heading through palo alto. First piece, it is not raining. So a little easier to control your car out here on the roads. Second piece of good news is that highway 101 is now open here at edge bambarcadero road being closed all night. Two lanes of northbound 101 north of the interchange began to loosen and unravel yesterday afternoon creating deep grooves and potholes. Those two lanes were closed at 3 30 in the afternoon while paving crews worked to getting them fixed. Eventually all of 101 was closed and diverted traffic. They estimated it reopening at 6 00 a.
