A few patches into the east bay around hayward. In the afternoon, noontime we are in the 60s and 70s. It is a warmer day today, especially inland with upper 80s to near 90. Around 80 at the bay. Fog and low clouds each and every day throughout the next seven days but we will approach 100 degrees inland mid week. I will explain coming up. New this morning the chp is investigating a deadly crash on highway 101. The crash happened around 3 30 this morning near the smith ranch road onramp. New video shows a white Ford Expedition flipped updecide down. You see it there. The chp says it was the only vehicle involved in the crash. At least one person is dead. There is no word on what led up to the crash. Developing news in concord where police are searching for a atoyclist ern over inveigats say t t concun coided. W le cooperating p picku t with police. Neighbors in Mountain View are calling for change after a woman was attacked in Creekside Park. The suspect has been arrested but this is the Second Attack in that park this year. He came up from behind her, wrapped his hand around her mouth and attempted to lift her up. Fortunately, the womans intichkts kicked screaming, which alerted two passersby that were in the area. The man became stooped dropped her and left. Reporter Police Detained the suspect after neighbors reported a man prowling around their neighborhood. They determined it was the man involved in the attack on the park. I walk to work in the morning. Reporter on february 25th a woman was brutally atanged. A gentleman who was a French National staying in the area. He viciously attacked a woman. Reporter these women lived in this neighborhood for years. They avoid the trail past 8 00 p. M. And want the city to make some changes. Over the years this city is becoming less safe unfortunately. Make it a more secure area, with lights and cameras. Reporter martinez is facing charges of attempted rape, attempted kidnapping, false imprisonment, and prowling. In the east bay a fire on mount diablo is now 100 contained. Cal fire says crews worked overnight to put out the flames. Firefighters were relieved this morning by a new crew to continue mop up efforts. The fire on summit road burned about four acres. Its been eight months since the camp fire devastated paradi paradise. Now the towns public Swimming Pool is set to reopen for the First Time Since the fire. Now swimmers can lift their spirits by taking a dip in more than 200,000 gallon was water. People lost their private pools and their homes. The fact that the health clubs up here that had pools were destroyed, this is the only poile that people can swim in. New numbers released by the Governors Office show paradises population plunged by 90 . About 2,000 people currently live in paradise. Thats down from 27,000 before the fire. The pay area desperately needs more housing. Redwood housing is considering more restrictions on inlaw units. The city council is expected to vote tomorrow on a measure which limits the size of second story inlaw units. Many of them are built above garages.
