A big rig overturned. That was because of a toyota camry that stopped in the middle of the freeway. This is east bay 80 at appian way headed away from oakland an San Francisco. The officers on scene tell us the driver of that camry was intoxicated and either fell asleep or passed out and just stopped the car in the middle of the freeway. And then here came the big rig. The big rig driver took evasive action and swerved. In the process of making that movement, the weight shifted, allowing the big rig to overturn on its left side and was unrecoverable from that point on. No one was hurt in this accident. Police say they did take the driver of that camry into custody. Now if we could just take a live picture. The good news, traffic is moving, all lanes have reopened. It happened just after 12 30 on southbound 280 in san jose. Chp says the off officers were trying to pull the car over, they lost control of the cruiser and rolled over. You can see the trunk of the damaged car and the rear windshield knocked out. In the east bay the chp is investigating a solo car crash that left a woman dead. It happened around 9 00 last night on westbound highway 24 near Saint Stephens drive. Investigators say the honda civic hit a tree off the right shoulder. When officers arrived the car was fully engulfed in flames and the woman was found dead in the car. Fast forward a little over ten years, and thats when things really took off. 2012 was the year facebook went public. The next year twitter did. At the same time housing prices skyrocketed. In the past seven years, the median home price in San Francisco has more than doubled. The same has happened in cities across the bay area. What did you say . Yep, bottom line. An explosion in a campus dorm room last month severely damaged the building and left the university with no dorm rooms for about 1,300 students.
