Reporter yeah, dan, ama. As you can imagine, the family is heart broken. The mans longtime partner spoke with me through tears and shes trying to find the courage to find her young son dad has died. Jose gar soia aguilar was making his way home from work, where his partner and the couples 6yearold son were waiting. He never answered, so i waited, and i woke up thinking that he was in there. Reporter aguilar wouldnt make it home. The driver of this black vehicle crashed into the median just north of the 3rd avenue exit. Two other drivers hit the vehicle. A fourth driver, aguilar, stopped to help. He was always like that. He liked to help people. He put on his hazards, stopped, walked to the number one lane and got out of his vehicle trying to assist the other people broken down on the road. Reporter he was killed by a hit and run driver. Those living off the exit know all about 101 traffic problems. For nearly seven years, Leonard Johnson has heard collisions ring through the neighborhood.
