No democrats voted for the bill. After eight years of slow growth and under performance, we are ready to take off. Reporter they say families will not win under this tax plan. It is dramatically opposite of what america needs. There is no reason for a single middle class family to pay more while every Single Corporation pays less. When you conduct your business behind closed doors, not only do you end up with legislation that represents the needs of the billionaire class, but you also make a number of mistakes. Reporter in the house, an embarrassment, members have to revote because of procedural issues. Parts of the bill did not meet house rules. The fire started around 1 00 in the morning near campable south of 280. Authorities say they did not find anyone there at the homeless encampment. Authorities in the north bay are investigating a Police Shooting that sent a man to the hospital. It happened around 8 00 last night on san clemente drive, east of highway 101. The Central Marin Police say officers were called about the missing at risk man. Shortly after officers arrived, the man returned home. Police say he was harmed and making gestures toward his waistband. The man who was shot is not suffering life threatening injuries. A dangerous light show in oakland. California Highway Patrol officers say someone aimed a laser at airplanes. This is after lasers were used at a side show over the weekend. Aviation expects say it caused a potentially dangerous situation during this busy air travel season. Extremely essentialtive to light. They havent seen light. According to an estimate, you need at least 170,000 in income to afford a home here in the bay area. That is well above many of our household incomes. Right now, we have little information. We reached out to San Jose Police department and the deputies office. No information at this time. They just moved a vehicle from the scene. They are coming back now. You can see here, they did block off this neighborhood. We were told there may have been some kind of Home Invasion in the area. A suspect was injured and made calls to the neighbors to help. At this time, we havent had opportunity to confirm this information. We know deputies are looking for suspects at this time. There have been police cars up and down this road, in this neighborhood and also the roads leading into the area. Now, again, we reached out to the santa clara deputys office and have not heard information at this time. The there are some deputies on scene. They cant talk. New this morning, an overnight investigation into a string of carjackings and robberies in san jose. It was late last night that Police Brought out their entire robbery unit, then arrested someone. You can see them take that person into custody. The crimes actually happened last week. They search for stolen property or weapons. Police have seen a dramatic rise in carjackings and robberies. We have one person that is under arrest who has a warrant as an escapee from the juvenile ranch. He will be arrested on a warrant. San jose police say they are in the early stages of the investigation. Developing this morning, police in the south bay are investigating a shooting that rattled neighbors and took one man to the hospital. It happened a little after 7 00 on scott street in san jose not far from the 280 880 interchange. A man was riding a bike when he was struck by gunfire. Neighbors say its normally a quiet area. They are shocked this could have happened during this festive time of year. Out looking at christmas lights, its almost christmas. What are we doing shooting people . Scary scene. The victim is in the hospital with nonlife threatening injuries. They are not sure if the victim was targeted or a random shooting. Developing news out of washington state. A live look at the scene of the deadly amtrak train derailment. Its been 48 hours and investigators are still trying to figure out what happened and why. The press democrat reports supervisors approved a Government Office to help bounce back from the wildfires. The office of recovery and resiliency will have its own budget and start with seven staff members. They plan to fund the office for at least five years. Looking live at the bay bridge, drivers already packing the road as they head to work and some for school. Today, we expect an update on the plan aimed at raising money to ease congestion. Transportation leaders will meet this afternoon to discuss exactly when to put regional measure 3 on the ballot. It could be june. It will hike the toll to cross the bridges. Aaa says drivers will deal with peak holiday congestion today and tomorrow. Holiday travelers will mix with regular commuters. Ill have an update on that coming up. 5 43. You have to see this video. It shows an officer being dragged by a suspects car. The body camera on the officer captures those terrifying moments. Whoa, whoa, whoa whoa this happened in pembroke pines, florida, just yesterday. Police say the officer responded to a call for a possible overdose victim and somehow that led to a highspeed chase. After the officer confronted the driver, the driver sped off with him hanging on to the door and the side of the car. The officer eventually fell off after being dragged for a minute. The officer is expected to be okay. The suspect was eventually arrested a short time later. Scary video there. Happening today, a hearing on the white house decision to end daca. Hundreds of thousands of people are closely watching these developments. In San Francisco, a federal judge will hear arguments tied to a series of lawsuits tied to trumps order to eliminate the program. U. S. Lawmakers, this week, agreed to table any vote on data until next year. New this morning, House Speaker paul ryan is touting the republican tax reform plan ahead of a final vote in the house.
