This will be the last day of some fairly mild weather before we get a rampup in those temperatures over the weekend. Were looking at highs in the upper 70s and low 80s inland and 60s near the coast. As we look at whats coming our way, High Pressure builds and hot weather starts to come in and we could see temperatures as high as the upper 90s by early next week. San francisco now has 34 miles of closed roads for people to spread out. Martinez is holding off on a plan to close off traffic along main street on the weekends. City officials approved a plan this week to allow business to expand outdoors. But they now say that they want to wait until Contra Costa County allows more stores and restaurants to reopen. This week, San Jose City Council Approved its own business outdoor expansion plan. Berkeley is expected to vote on a similar proposal next month. Now looking outside, it is so beautiful out there, kari. I know a lot of people want to get out there this weekend especially since its a holiday weekend. Yeah, but we know a lot of places are still closed, you need to check ahead. As we look at one of our cameras in the north bay, just to the east of petaluma, im seeing a brush fire. So we also have the concern of some more fires as our temperatures go up and weve had such dry vegetation over the past couple of months, as we deal with in our a severe drought. Southern california right now not in a drought, but you can see the shadings and the different colors there as you head up close to the bay area well, mos area. Were still going to have some very dry conditions. No chances of rain. Also were looking at some hot temperatures going into the next week or so. To just make sure youre aware and youre also doing what you need to do around the house to make your defensible space. As we get a look at our beautiful sunshine we have and mild we really were seeing right now as you make plans to get out for an afternoon walk, its going to feel nice today. Well see our high temperatures reaching into the upper 70s. And a few low 80s for the inland east bay. But for the most part, this is our late day before the temperatures start to heat up. And the Climate Prediction Center putting out their outlook for what were expecting not only for the next couple of weeks but the next three months. And thats when we head into our dry season. Theyre seeing that the bay area could have some abovenormal temperatures and also, as were going to see for parts of the sierra, well above normal temperatures where you see the red shading. Were in for some high and hot weather going into the next couple of months. Thats something well have to be mindful of as we head into our wildfire season. But we dont want to think about that right now. We want to enjoy this weekend. Make some plans to get outside. But just take it easy, because our temperatures will start to heat up. If you have a pool, its time to get it cleaned up and ready to go for the weekend. We are going to see our temperatures that will reach into the upper 80s by the end of the weekend. Look at next week, okay . We have some mid even high 80s. We could set some records by the middle of next week in inland valleys. But along the coastline there will be just enough of an ocean breeze to keep San Francisco cooler, so well see some upper 60s over the next couple days and then it will trend into the mid70s. So that natural air conditioning still in effect for the coastline. Inland areas wont get any of that, it will be downright hot next week, marcus. All right, getting ready for it.
