So this is one of the spots thats not going to see the high temperatures today. Right. It stays in the 60s pretty much all day even when we see spots like soma clearing out for a little while, the fog will be right there hovering over the Golden Gate Bridge that will keep it cool in the city. Meantime for the inland areas starting out with some sunshine. As we take a live look outside near Pleasant Hill we will see those temperatures warming up for those inland areas. But take a look at where we are now. The early hours the best time to get outside for doing some yard work. If youre working outside today try to get as much done as you can before noon, and then our temperatures will go from the upper 50s to the triple digits in a couple of spots. Most of us for the inland valleys will be in the 80s and 90s. Were up to 89 degrees in san jose and 92 in concord. San francisco once again stays in the 60s today. Were in this weather pattern with High Pressure and a very weak ocean breeze that doesnt make it to the inland areas. And so thats the reason we had these micro climates in full effect. As we go into the weekend, a change in our wind direction and weather system moving in from the north will bring in more gusty winds and a cooldown in our temperatures. We still have to get through this workweek. Here we are on tuesday. We make it through friday were still in the 90s. Saturday and sunday its starting to feel better. While San Francisco keeps those Cool Temperatures in the low 70s for the next several days. Mike, youve been keeping an eye on the roads. Any new issues coming up . Now we want to get back to that debate that a lot of people are talking about, removing Police Officers from school systems, moving them out of the schools. Crow air Cierra Johnson . Reporter good morning, marcus, as many of the protests continue across the country some cities are actually taking the step forward to remove Law Enforcement from classrooms and two local bay area School Districts are one step closer to doing just that. Now today in San Francisco, San Franciscos unified board will vote on whether to end its relationship with sfpd as well as how to redirect those resources for student services. Some of those Services Include the Street Violence Intervention Program and the municipal transit assistance program. Now in oakland tomorrow the school board will vote on their use of police force. Oakland unified has their own Police Department with 120 officers overseeing 100 district properties. If they were to remove those Law Enforcement officers that would mean nearly 2. 5 million spent on security and those officers would be redirected. So starting this afternoon those in support of that move to remove officers in oakland will march from eastmont mall to the youth june rising building on and that march begins at 1 00. And this isnt just happening across the bay. In the meantime we want to check the beach forecast with meteorologist kari hall. And im just going to go out on a limb and say its going to be foggy all day. Yeah, pretty much. Were going to see that fog near the coast keeping it cool there. Meanwhile the inland areas will not catch a break today. That heat advisory picks up again today for Solano County, lake and mendocino counties here in the bay area as we are going to see the heat continue today as these temperatures reach into the upper 90s and near 100 degrees. For us as were starting out with this live view and a nice sunrise in the trivalley, our temperatures will go from the low 60s to the upper 80s and even hotter as we go into the rest of the day. Mike, youve been keeping an eye on the roads. And you gave us help by showing us the traffic live in dublin. You saw a great spacing for 580. Overall the bay is looking like an easy drive. Bob, the firefighters say theyre seeing conditions we usually see deeper into fire season. Reporter yeah, usually not until october and thats why you should never be setting fires obviously but this is particularly dangerous what someone did here at kelley park and people have been setting off those illegal fireworks throughout the bay area. Theyre saying just dont do it given how dry this brush is. What happened in kelley park overnight between 1 00 and 2 00 a. M. Someone intentionally set a number of brushfires, small grass fires, up to eight of them, around the parking lot for the kelley park disk golf course. It did cause dodge to homeless encampments but no one was hurt. The Fire Department was able to put them out before they grew in size and spread. Unusually dry conditions. Essentially today what we have is fuel moisture content levels that we would typically see in october. This is one of the driest junes that we have on record. And so what that does is it makes it extraordinarily dangerous to mix those fire conditions potentially with fireworks and with illegal outside burning. Reporter again, no significant damage here at kelley park. No one was hurt. The Fire Department does not know who set the fires. Reporting live, bob redell, today in the bay. Thank you, bob. Later today Solano County supervisors will hear from pg e about what the utility is doing to make those planned Power Outages during fire season a little less painful for all of us. Pg e says it is adding equipment to redirect power so about a third fewer customers will be impacted. Also in store, shorter cutoff times with the goal of restoring power within 12 hours and theyre doing that by adding to their aerial inspections. Pg e recommends planning ahead if youre thinking of installing a generator because its not that simple and theyre not allowed in all situations. Boltons tellall book comes out today. And, scott mcgrew, we probably know what we need to know already. Yeah, enough people have read the book, good morning, that i think the big revelations are out there, probably the biggest one is that he says President Trump asked president xi of china to increase the amount of American Farm goods that he bought in order to help President Trump win the next election. Bolton spoke out on abc. Youve seen a piece of that. Remember that he is not a liberal. He is a kfbs conservative. I hope that it will remember him as a oneterm president who didnt plunge the country irretrievably into a downward spiral we cant recover from. We can get over one term. Two terms im more troubled about. President trump travels to arizona today for a rally with students. The daily mail reports they are no longer handing out tickets online after it was fooled into thinking the rally would be so big it built an outdoor stage only to have about 6,800 people show up. Todays rally will be at a church and the pastor and the facilities director have posted a video to youtube claim they have new technology that will remove coronavirus out of the around of the church so everybody today will be perfectly healthy. And it kills 99. 9 of covid within ten minutes. Ionization. Ionization of the air covid cannot live in that environment. 99 of covid is gone. Killed. If it was there in the first place. Ionization can kill viruses though 99. 99 is quite a claim. The air intake would have to be like a jet engine. Far more effective in stopping persontoperson transmission is to wear a mask. President trump tripling or even quadrupling down on his calls to reduce testing. With smaller testing we would show fewer cases. While that is factually true the white house insists his statement that he ordered the government to slow testing was a funny joke. He just got on the helicopter to head out to joint base andrews and said again he wanted slower testing. Well be covering his trip to arizona and whats happening on capitol hill on twitter. You can follow me ther there scottmcgrew. Thanks, scott. Thank you, scott. Trending this morning beyonce is putting out a song of support for the black lives Matter Movement and shes taking it a step further, too. Beyonce released her song black parade on juneteenth. Also, pink is giving us just one more reason to love her. She took to instagram with her therapist where she opened up about everything including being a mom. She talked about one time where she slammed her dishwasher in front of her daughter out of frustration and then apologized. I got right down on the floor and said to her, im sorry. This is not your fault. You did nothing wrong. I dont know how to do this. There is no book for being a mom. Her daughter replied, oh, mom, even when youre the worst youre the best. They know how to put it so perfectly. Pink also opened up about her husband saying marriage counseling is keeping them together. Whoo save on the therapy bill. At our house loading the dishwasher is a very sensitive situation. Ive gotten angry, too. We get a look at the forecast for you. Meteorologist kari hall has been tracking all across the bay area. Today, boom, its all over the place. This is what we call micro climates and so we are seeing the fog and what we typically see in San Francisco in june, that june gloom, those low clouds, fog, mist and drizzle and it keeps the temperatures today mostly in the 60s. Its sunny and the temperatures heat up fast. A live look in lafayette as we are starting out with that live look at highway 24. Now as we get through the day were going to see temperatures for the inland valleys away from that coastline starting to warm up n. Livermore at noon were at 86. 77 in novato. Notice the Half Moon Bay in the mid60s and will be comfortable for the inner bay. And then right over the hills and see temperatures in the low 90s. The coastal areas will stay in the 60s and 50s but it should cool off for all of us if youre making plans to go out for a walk right around sunset. This is the same weather pattern well see throughout the week as High Pressure creates some hot temperatures for the inland valleys and then by the end of the weekend some cooler and breezy conditions pick up. Well see the temperatures coming back down a few degrees. Were still in with the 90s throughout the rest of the week and our inland areas will have hot temperatures.
