We are going to start out with some clouds overhead and our temperatures in the low 60s this morning, but once that clers out we will see some sunshine today and it will be better to open up the windows and spend more time outside as we look at our winds that are now coming in from the south and southeast. As we go through the forecast it will pick up again today with our winds increasin15, close to. Once again tacss the bay area a seen a shift in the wind and so more of a westerly wind over the next couple of days. Were looking at temperatures today because of much less of the thick smoke. Our temperatures are starting to warm up in the valleys. Spots like concord will reach up to 88, and then we head to the north bay in spots like clear lake, 87 and in santa rosa reaching 82. In San Francisco expect highs in the 60s again today. We need Something Else to clear out air quality. This storm system approaching the Pacific Northwest that will bring them some rain around seattle and parts of oregon. Its going to help cool us off. Well see that happening over the next few days. Upper 80s today. Lower 80s tomorrow and then check out friday, 77 degrees. The inland areas. F our warmest well track that air quality. Mike, youve been tracking accidents around the bay area. Yeah, but, kari, a couple fewer incidents to follow right now. Over my shoulder well take a look. Ive circled it on the peninsula, the crash 101 at embarcadero cleared from the on ramp. It was affecting the on ramp for a short period of time. No major injuries and no problem. You see the green on the peninsula 101 and 280. The east bay, slowing changing as far as where the slowing happens. It still is approaching 23rd. The crews are starting to move around. I dont know if theyre going to clear just yet. You may be down to one lane as you approach 23rd southbound 880 shows that. Over in the upper east shore freeway el cerrito circling the potrero onramp. There was, sadly, a deadly crash there that affected only the on ramp but the rest of the bay area has moved smoothly with just the fog advisory for the golden gate bridge. Hurricaneforce winds and lifethreatening storm surge and flash flooding in the forecast. Today in the bays jay gray is in mobile, alabama, with the latest. Reporter the storm making landfall, crossing the shoreline in gulf shores, alabama, which is just about 50, 60 miles to the south and east. I want to show you what sally is doing in mobile. You can see the rain continuing to fall here and the wind has really picked up. Transformers blowing. Tens of thousands without power. That number will climb. Its still a very slowmoving m. The rain is going to be a big problem for not only mobile but areas really from louisiana through the florida panhandle. The National Weather service has said that we are going to see historic and catastrophic flash flooding, water just continuing to pound this region.
