Were to roll out that vaccine is underway at the same time that theres extreme pressure on our Hospital Capacity. Before we get to that, i want to mention something news out of Santa Clara County. There are now nine confirmed cas of young people in the juvenile Justice System and four Staff Members have tested positive to covid. Theyve been clean since march. I want to get to the hospital numbers. They are dire. As of yesterday, the five hospitals serving the soith county and East San Jose reached 93 of their icu capacity. Elsewhere in the county, 84 of ic umpbl beds were also taken. And with cases spiking, Public Health leaders expect hospitals could max out by christmas. We are especially concerned because none of the hospitals had more than five icu beds available as of yesterday. In an attempt to slow the spread post holiday, the Public Health officer enacted a travel quarantine order this weekend. Anyone a travels 150 miles or more from the county is required to quarantine for 14 days upon return or upon arrival. Hotels are supposed to only be open to essential workers, and for people who need facilitation for quarantine or isolation. To this point the county hand detailed any enforcement. The county council said today that enforcement is in fact on the table. County leaders are also planning for Vaccine Distribution as the fda could approve emergency use of the Pfizer Vaccine a week from tomorrow. As the u. K. Did overnight. As we can see the sneaker waves and rip currents coming up between today as well as tomorrow. And it is especially true for our west and northwest facing beaches. If youre going to be out there in ocean beach, and some of those bay area coastlines, some of the spots where we will have the potential of some big breakers and sneaker waves as well as rip currents. Weve seen these weather systems coming in. That is what is churning up the water but were not getting any rain and were seeing some high clouds moving in. As we head toward the weekend, we will have the concern of an approaching system. It could still bring us some gusty winds between sunday and monday. We will have to watch out for the potential that this could bring in high fire danger. October we barely measured anything. And november, it was really low compared to normal. The amount that i have in sorng what we measured and then the amount in blue is what we should be getting. Now that were in the month of december, it is usually one of the best months. We still havent had any rain and were looking to dry start to the month. Looking at the overall number, weve only measured about 5 of the normal amount of rain for san jose and oakland. It is just critically dry. We look statewide at how that affects reservoirs. Some of the largest are seeing capacity bat 82 . Overall, especially here locally, our reservoir numbers continue to drop. Were at the 20 to 30 range for a lot of our reservoirs here in the south bay. So there will be nothing for those reservoirs.
