M. , a swimmer was outside the cove entrance when a sea lion began pursuing him. He originally said the sea lion was coming at him and he felt threatened. Thats when he started splashing water and yelled at him to get away. Reporter but the sea lion persisted and attacked. He yelled at it and then the sea lion came up and bit him on the arm. He used his Arapahoe County to push it away. It went away and he never saw it again. Reporter that swimmer, a man in his 50s, bloodied and injured made his way to the cove. A sailboat headed back to saucily doe. It turns out sausalito. It turns out he was fighting with a sea lion. So we picked him up. He wanted to go back to shore. But i knew it was deep. He was bleeding a lot . The back is soaked. Reporter sfpds marine unit had the gray goose drop the district off at their dock. All marine officers were recently emt certified. We saw what looked like a bite wound on his right upper arm. And it was uncontrolled bleeding when he came on our dock. But Christin Ayers tells us theres one big unanswered question that could hurt the prosecutions case. Reporter the decision by judge Jeffery Horner means two men who used to live at the ghost ship warehouse, Derick Almena and massa drive, will stand trial for and max harris will stand several counts for manslaughter. A lawyer for the families of 12 ghost ship warehouse victims says this is the outcome her clients were hoping for. I thought the evidence was overwhelming. Reporter today a judge agreed, concluding that Master Tenant Derick Almena and a dj who lived at the warehouse, max harris, should stand trial.
