The Richmond San Rafael bridge, there are lane closures in effect until 5 00 which is basically right now. You can see they should be clearing that up. The flashing lights are showing, and they are still on the scene but not quite out of the way. The lanes are open and causing no delays at the Richmond San Rafael bridge. Back to the bay bridge where you can see the video moving, starting to stack up in cash lanes this morning, Everything Else looks pretty good. They are on the scene fixing the pothole and they should have that fixed and up and running pretty shortly. The san mateo bridge in the san mateo, in the westbound direction, you look pretty good but not too many brake lights. Eastbound looks pretty good as well. Off to the main travel times, only a 36 minute ride to the off my past now that the drivetime is in the yellow and its really not bad for this time of day elsewhere, your drive times are in the green. Thank you. Developing in sacramento now, a Rookie Police officer shot and killed, and we just confirmed the suspect is now under arrest. The 26yearold Tara Osullivan died at Uc Davis Medical Center this morning. Hours after a gunman opened fire on her while on a domestic disturbance call on redwood avenue. Osullivan is the first segment officer to die in the line of duty in 20 years. We are devastated tonight. There are no words to convey the depth of santos we feel, or how heartbroken we are for our family of our young brave officer. Police said osullivan was shot by a highpowered rifle just after 6 00 last night while she helped a woman remove belongings from her home. Due to the active fire, it took officials nearly one hour to get to osullivan who was down in the yard behind the suspects house. Medics raced to the hospital as frightened neighbors took shelter. I was mad, because it seemed to be big firecrackers and i came out to yell and they were shooting right next door to my house. My whole driveway was, when i looked out, it was lined with Police Officers in full riot gear with assault rifles leaning over my truck. The suspect surrendered at 2 00 ending the eight hour standoff with sacramento police. The suspect identity has not yet been released. In the motive behind the shooting is still under investigation. Things are really escalating in this conflict with iran right now. We have some breaking news from overnight after it appears as if the country shot down a u. S. Drone. This is according to the u. S. Military central command, it is an unprovoked attack, attack in International Airspace. It was a Global Hawk Drone shot down over the straight of hormuz. Iran says in the video that it is completely ready for war and it says that the drone crossed into iranian airspace, so we are watching the continued reaction from this shot down drone this morning. Happening in San Mateo County, detectives are still trying to find more connections between two homicides that happened within a day of each other on skyline boulevard. Jackie ward shares with the victims friends and family are saying about the murders. Reporter some of the people are saying the victims were learned to the remote road near the unincorporated redwood city, San Mateo County, i should say, by the killer. The latest victim, the one that died tuesday night, john pepper copy was a tow truck driver and he posted an upbeat snapchat video as he drove up skyline boulevard earlier that night. Family members say months later, he was helping someone who it called for a tow truck when he was stabbed. Detectives who were searching the area for monday nights murder heard yelling and got to john as the suspect was trying to get away. The suspect tried to run over deputies and the victim come a but investigators fired at his car, causing it to swerve into a ditch. Shots fired at reeds wrist and skyline truck. Shots fired. Now under arrest is malika to suki, he lives in pacifica with his parents and younger brother. Neighbors say he has been acting increasingly strange lately and one neighbor didnt want to show his face on camera and said he has been acting weird towards his sister. Just trying to open the car while my systems and, my brother got him out of there and wanted to go home and he stood there and didnt say anything. Reporter the first victim from monday night was a cabdriver and his friend who does not want to show his face on tv says a strange man called his cabinet the night before he was killed in the man said he wanted to leave his bmw along skyline boulevard and the friends and family of the victim says thats the same bmw that police were searching in front of this man from pacificas home. Right now, the suspect in custody is only being tied to the second homicide, no idea on whats happening with the suspect for the first murder. Some Santa Clara County drivers are on edge this morning after three separate freeway shootings in a 24 hour period. A man shot dead in milpitas, a vehicle struck in los gatos and in san jose, a 12yearold girl injured by shattered glass. A witness tells us its a miracle the girl survived. The chp says the suspect flashed a gun before pulling the trigger at the intersection of 280 and 101 tuesday night and two hours later, there was another freeway shooting on highway 17. A possible road rage investigation is underway in that case. A highway shooting monday took the life of matthew rios, but this was on 680 in milpitas. The shootings seem to be isolated. The vta bus and light rail operators rejected a final Contract Offer and are a step closer to a strike, but theyve not authorized one just yet. The union and vta have negotiated since august on a new contract. The latest decision keeps the door open for another offer. If workers do strike, they need to get 72 hours notice. The defense team in the ghost of trial is calling new witnesses today. After three days of testimony and crossexamination. Of one of the codefendants. Police are trying to negotiate with a suspect who is barricaded inside a home. This is in san anselmo. They issued a shelter in place order for the neighborhood. They say the suspect barricaded himself after allegedly vandalizing his roommates car. They say he has a knife in his room and he has blocked off the door with furniture. They were called to the home for this disturbance at around 11 deck 15 last night. We are about six hours deep into this confrontation as the Police Continue to try to negotiate with this guy to come out peacefully. Breaking news now out of sacramento, a Rookie Police officer shot and killed, the suspected gunmen behind bars. Reporter Dan Mitchinson is following the investigation. Good morning, the officer was responding to a domestic disturbance call in this neighborhood in North Sacramento last night when she was shot. Police told us the officer was wounded by a rifleman whose name we dont know yet. We know that he turned himself in and surrendered just a short time ago this morning, shots were fired on a home, from a home on redwood avenue. Sullivan was on the domestic servants call with a partner and she was helping a woman to collect herself to leave the house. It took officers a while to reach her, because every time police tried to reach her, the gunmen opened fire. Osullivan graduated from the academy just last december and was with her partner when she was shot and was scheduled to go solo in a couple weeks. We are told she died while in surgery at Uc Davis Medical Center. Thats the latest out here this morning, well have more throughout the morning and throughout the day, and i would toss back to you. No backups to the Richmond San Rafael bridge and in the eastbound direction, lane closures until 2 00 and metering lights are on at the bay bridge. Traffic is backing up onto the 880 overpass as well as into or towards the foot of the maze and last but not least, the san mateo bridge looks actually really good for this hour. Usually we see more volume and more brake lights, we are seeing a little bit of that, but not nearly as much is normal. And as we go through the day tomorrow, we are looking at plenty of sunshine and temperatures warming up and with northerly wind, we could see windy conditions for the northbay hills tomorrow.
