There is a fog advisory in effect for the golden gate brimming and look at this livepicture, you can see why because you cant see a lot. So take your time going over it. The san mateo bridge in the westbound direction not too many brake lights and not too much company. Bay bridge metering lights not on. We are seeing a stackup in the cash lanes, however. Everything in the east shore freeway and background of the picture is smooth sailing. Looking live at the ripmond san rafael brimming, flashing lights is the result of emergency construction in the westbound direction of 580. Of course, this is the final phase of that. We are getting close. The end is in sight for the Richmond San Rafael bridge and michelle freeing ao has more on the story. Caltrans is building and installing the last of 31 expansion joints on the upper deck of the bridge. Crews have been working overnight since march with jackhammers and blow torches to demolish the existing joints and used concrete to build and install the replacement joints. The last joint has been put ts, we had to have steel plates that motoristss trove over and they felt the bum and slowed traffic down. That is done. The work is as a result of an incident in february. An expansion joint broke apart sending concrete down onto cars on the lower deck below. No one was hurt, but there was an all day traffic jam. Caltrans engineers installed the rest of the joints and found some had wear and tear and decided to replace all 61 joints. Keep it moving in the event of an outage, they are installing 29 emergency generators in these east bay cities to ensure that a power outage will not disrupt water service. Without power, we would not be able to bring water to the higher level tanks. Just as we are preparing, we want our customers to prepare, and we need kust meres to prepare. In the eastbound direction, on 508 theres an accident right there at santa rita road. You are down to 11 miles an hour going through the altamonte pass in the westbound commute direction. That drive time is about 33 minutes in the yellow. Elsewhere, you are in the green and good to go on east shore freeway highway 4 and south bay on 101. San mateo bridge is getting a little busier. But no brake lights to report. No major slowing or issues in that commute direction. The bay bring metering lights should be on in the next 15 or 20 minutes or so.
