Its just south of the 280 101 interchange and firefighters are trying to put out the hotspots still remaining at this home. From what we understand at this point, the fire was reported around 3 30 this morning and firefighters had it under control 1520 minutes later and according to the citizen app, there were five people in the home at the time that made it out safely and the red cross is now at the scene trying to help those who lived at the home. Police believe he is a cal state consultant and the bomb squad was brought in to investigate a backpack and adding to the mystery. Inside the backpack were items that one would use to potentially use to kidnap somebody as well as a weapon similar to the weapon we believed was used in the actual homicide. Police are looking for a man dressed all in black seen running from that area and officers do not believe this was a random attack. In the bay area, deliberations have to start over in the ghost ship fire trial after three jurors were dismissed for apparent misconduct. The Associated Press just confirmed a hostage standoff in Rio De Janeiro, brazil, has ended. It started about four hours ago when a hostage taker said he was a former policeman and took a public bus hostage and forced the driver to pull over in the middle of a bridge and then, according to some of the hostages that were released a few hours ago, he doused himself in gasoline and the rest of the bus, threatening to light it on fire. Moments ago, we saw video of police in Rio De Janeiro shooting the hostage taker as he came out of the bus. We do not know the condition of the hostage taker but we have confirmed there are other injuries reported.
