Crews are working to repair a number of water main breaks along 22nd street. Heavy machinery is deployed to get through to the pipes below. The streets may be dry now, but it wasnt the case earlier. This was the scene last night. Surrounding homes experienced some flooding. Water service is shut off in the area. Some made it on to highway 1 1 slowing traffic there and adding to the chaos, a multiple car crash. They are still investigating. It is unclear if the accident was caused by the flooding. Officials have no estimate when repairs will be completed. Another possible Home Invasion robbery in the east bay. A man who livers on crawford street east of the Concord PoliceDepartment Says two masked gunmen entered his home wednesday night and tied him up. It is not clear if anything was taken. This comes a day after a Home Invasion in lafayette. Three men entered a home through an open garage door. There was another on hallow wane night three miles away. No arrests have been made in any of the cases. An update this morning as 75 corroder woman and her two grandchildren found safe thanks to a stranger. Sandra young and her children reported missing sunday. Yesterday they stopped at a gas station where she spotted them. Advocates for the homeless in the bay area say it can be controlled with a lot of effort. He says the need for more shelters space and more Affordable Housing for those of extremely low incomes. The cost could be worth it for younger people experiencing homelessness. Do you leave a young person 16 on the street and you dont address their homelessness. The cost for that one young person over their lifetime is 3 4s of a million dollars. Housing is the best way to treat anyone with Mental Health or Substance Abuse issues.
