That. Reporter he said theres been a nationwide effort to encourage people to celebrate virtually not just on 420, but from the 17th to the 21st to flatten their own curve, so to say. Its looking like the four days of celebration is going to equal the one day of celebration that usually happens on 420. Reporter this year people are especially taking advantage of online delivery, drivethru opportunities and even Curbside Pickup in some california counties. Yet despite the cannabis industry being zoomed essential in california, kylo says it still bothers him that it has high levels of taxation, no federal assistance programs and no banking. He hopes 420 is an opportunity to highlight the work that still needs to be done. Sometimes you have to work out the logistics internally for these Financial Assistance programs to really assist what is still a schedule 1 narcotic at the federal level. One way to really reopen the country is more widespread testing, but there is still no organized effort in place to do that. As a result, kpix5s john ramos shows us entrepreneurs are starting to step up to fill that void. Reporter one of the most troubling things about this virus is most people Walking Around have no idea whether theyre infected or not. So it seems like it might be a good idea to know that. Testing has been erratic at best with people often waiting in long lines and thats the biggest problem according to the founder of carbon health, a private Health Clinic operator in california and nevada. S there downside to testing, but there is downside to hundreds of people getting in a line in front of a clinic to get tested. Reporter the country has outfitted a former mobile dental trailer today set up in a parking lot in redwood city. Testing is by appointment only to eliminate crowding and the nasal swab test takes only about a minute to complete. If i just walk around thinking that i am healthy and if i am not, im just contaminated and putting everything back as it was before. The first thing is responsibility. I dont want to infect you or anybody else if i know im sick. Reporter positive or negative, at least you know. Kevin mcgovern has a job delivering cannabis and says fear of infection has kept him from seeing his young daughter for four weeks. So it means a lot to him that they use a rapid test system with results available by the end of the day. The whole time youre going through whether you have it or not. So being able to get the result in the time they can do it i think gives you a little bit actually a little comfort, a little comfort. Reporter the company says the test is covered by most insurance plans and if not, the fee is 65, but thats uncertain because even to them the government has promised that testing will be free, they have not created a system to reimburse those doing lot of financial risk to be honest because we are not collecting copays or credit cards. I dont want to get your hopes up theres a legitimate bay area wide rainmaker tomorrow. There isnt. Some of us could get a sprinkle. First let me show you what it looks like today across the bay area if you havent gotten out of your part of it, look, blue sky over the golden gate bridge, same story inland. Thats what it looks like over the trivalley now and heres what it looks like over san jose. Theres a theme here. Were all looking at a beautiful sunday afternoon. Well put a lot more clouds into that sky tomorrow with this weak little system that will try to bring us a few sprinkles in the morning. We will be a little cooler tomorrow, 2 or 3 degrees. Its not the temperatures that are the story, but since im obligated to show you those, there you go. Morning lows right there, low 50s, daytime highs into the low and mid60s tomorrow. Lets talk about what is the headline for tomorrows weather. Now you can see that storm sitting off the coast, that spin. That looks promising. In futurecast youll see there is rain that shows up out here. Look at those scattered showers trying to get over our way. That says 9 a. M. Lets go in for a closer look at home and get rid of the clouds. In the predawn hours as we play this forward, yes, there are few showers that come across mainly the south bay, the peninsula maybe, the east bay hills through the late Morning Hours tomorrow, but that looks a lot more impressive than its probably going to be. It stays with us, a small chance of rain going into the afternoon, but i think the best way to come away with a take away from this is look at what the forecast is for actual measurable rain tomorrow. These numbers are very small, maybe 0. 03inch of rain, maybe 0. 01inch of rain. Thats the ki rain you dont even know. You might get a sprinkle in the morning and afternoon. That storm will go east and drop a little light snow in the sierra. Its not a major consequence here, but its kind of nice to see in the middle of april we might get a light dusting up on donner pass and up in the headwaters of the tuolumne rivers, about another inch up there and thats it. Once we finish with mondays big excitement were done and the story is going to turn. Before i show you the sevenday forecast which has daytime highs in the mid80s for inland spots at the end of it, next weekend, i just want to show you the longer range forecast even beyond that, six to 10 days. Where the sevenday leaves off taking us into the early and middle part of next week, the deeper the shades of red on here, the higher the degree of confidence temperatures will stay above average. Heres your general takeaway. Once we finish with tomorrows cloudy maybe drizzleness, its game on for sunny and warm. You can see how this will play out. San jose, ill use you as my example here, 71 on tuesday. Thats an average daytime high, but look how much well overachieve here by next weekend. Oakland wont be that dramatic, but youve still got the warm up coming. 67 would be average for this time of year. By next weekend its 77. Were not breaking records, but its sunny and warm. The thing that stands out about this, by the way, San Francisco, 73, 10 degrees above average and concord kind of the extreme, makes it up to 86. Its not so much just that we warm up that much going into the weekend. Its a little more interesting that if you look at some of the longer range stuff, we may be staying there going into the week after next weekend. Lets let that play out. More on that as we get closer to it. Well take it one seventhis po i think thats wise. Dennis. Over to you. Cal linebacker makes a mighty bold prediction on thursdays nfl draft. The way it feels out there now, low to mid60s. Thats about 3 or 4 degrees off the highs we hit about an hour ago. Tomorrow morning we go back down to the low 50s, a cloudy start to the day. Those clouds while they deepen through the morning do not let up like they have the last few days because these clouds will be driven in by this next weeks storm sitting off the coast. By tomorrow theres a lot more of them and late morning there will be a few spotty showers embedded in those clouds. Theres not a lot to this, but late morning and early afternoon the chance for a few stray showers to come in across the bay area, most likely from the bay bridge south through the late morning and early afternoon. It really wont amount to much. If we look at the rainfall totals, theres the tally through the day tomorrow. Very few places get anything measurable. Since you might get a spritz tomorrow i didnt want you to be taken off guard by it. There are your daytime highs. The numbers are maybe like 3 degrees on average cooler than today was. Its not like this is going to be a cold system for us coming in, but it does make the day look different, keeps it gray a rnand y afternoon and then it will break apart as we get past sunset tomorrow and its done. Then we really turn a corner and the real story in this forecast once we get past tomorrow is the rapid warmup that comes our way for the end of this week. Look at those daytime highs. By friday and saturday next week climbing into the mid80s, 86 degrees for the daytime high for many inland locations and well be in the mid70s through the bay. So those will be the highest numbers weve reached yet should we get there and it looks like it will stick around. So its not just that we warm up into next weekend. Looking out past that even on to some of the longer range forecasts, theres a good reason to believe temperatures like that will stick around into the early and middle part of next week. Thats where things stand on the sevenday forecast for now. Well be right back a classic San Francisco restaurant feeding front line workers across the bay area. Yes. She was sitting in a throne laughing at me. After 12 days in a coma and doses of the experimental drug called remdesivir will opened his eyes. When i came out of the coma, they couldnt believe it and the doctors who worked on me and other doctors in the hospital all came into the room just to see for themselves that i was actually coherent. That kind of opened my eyes when a group of doctors are like marveling over me opening my eyes. I was like whoa, i must have been really, really far gone, you know. Will, rob and damien want to thank all of their fans for their well wishes. They lit candles, sent healing vibes and prayers. The band says all of that helped. Its a local company. Thats right. He somehow got ahold of remdesivir. Hes a living example of that drug playing a big role in his recovery and as you saw, even the doctors were amazed. Right. Boy, he was in a coma. In fact, its that same drug that caused the stock market friday to go up 700 points because people are thinking oh, boy, heres the not the cure, but even gilead i was said not so fast.
