Good morning, we are going to start our call down today especially along the coast and right around the bay and michelle was mentioning you can see the fog and low clouds and that indicates that onshore flow kicking in. Lets show you the temperatures. We are in the 50s and 60s to start off the day, 60 in concord and san jose, mid 60s in livermore and mid50s in San Francisco. San jose is 16. It will still be hot across our inland locations through our afternoon. The heat advisory for all of our inland locations is there. Daytime highs are there this afternoon. I will talk about a bigger cool down through the week. Details are coming up in a few minutes. We are following some breaking news from overnight, five people were shot in san jose just before 10 00 last night at williamsport and 24th street in san jose. All five people who were shot were taken to the hospital with serious injuries described as lifethreatening. We have a lot of questions about what up to this. The investigation continues. Also, a motorcycle crash happened and started with a police chase and this went on for several jurisdictions. They say the motorcycle had been stolen and they were driving along 280 southbound caught on video speeding near 10th street in san jose and then finally crashing on the sheridan offramp and the driver was quickly taken into custody and they did have minor injuries as well. So they are now recuperating in the hospital before going to jail. A homeless man accused of killing a 94yearold man in San Francisco has been known to threaten locals before. Now residents are demanding answers over why nothing was done. He was beaten to death while he walked his dog. They say that peter attacked him with a stick in glen park. San francisco supervisors have the suspect put on the list that tracks distressed people. Based on what i was hearing from neighbors, he is not someone who shouldve been making decisions for himself. He is not someone who should have been able to be in this neighborhood. They say the program has been designed to overhaul the Mental Health system with the city and a budget crisis and it is unclear how the program will be financed. New video of protesters and police clashing in minneapolis through the night in a second day of demonstrations over the death of george floyd. This is an area where they have ongoing construction in that area, so just a heads up. Overall it is moving at the limit. It is looking pretty good but we have seen an increase in traffic this last week and even more so in the next couple of weeks. As a heads up, things are pretty quiet and you might see a few more cars on the roadway and the san mateo bridge is looking pretty good, the drive times are 13 minutes to go towards the peninsula. We do have some road work this morning with overnight closures in the clearing stages along 80 northbound as you go into west oakland right before seven street. We are seeing some slightly slower speeds at 39 miles an hour in that area. We are looking at overnight closures. They will put the finishing touches on the alemany project. If you want to avoid the closures, hop onto 80 in and out of San Francisco. We will look at Public Transit in my next report. Typically home to nascar races, they are still following guidelines and students are being socially distanced while parents watch from their cars.
