That is right, onshore flow is starting to kick in along the coast right around the bay and you can see the low clouds across our cameras towards downtown San Francisco. That indicates some changes. And it is a little cooler along the coast and the bay but inland youre still going to heat up. Temperatures are in the 50s and 60s and through our afternoon, we are looking at 70 in San Francisco, 76 in oakland, 90 in san jose and 92 for concord. Which will be 5 to grees above average. A heat advisory is in effect for all of our inland locations from 11 am until 7 pm. I am tracking our next weather system and i will have the details on the future cast coming up. We have an update on this breaking news from overnight. Five people were shot in san jose and we learned that the suspect, a man with a gun, is still on the loose. The shooting happened before 10 00 last night at William Court and 24th street. A group of people were hanging out outside when a man just walked up and shot five of the men. That man has not been identified. The five men who were shot were taken to the hospital with injuries described as nonlife threatening. They will be okay. This is the eastern part of san jose just west of 101 and that investigation continues. We also have a new video overnight about a police tape in progress. This happened along 280 southbound. They say the motorcycle they are chasing there had been stolen and this was near 10th street and san jose. They crashed on the sheridan offramp in this city and they were taken into custody. The motorcyclist also had minor injuries so he was taken to the hospital before being taken to jail. We are keeping an eye on that investigation as well to what charges that person might be facing. Developing, disagreements in Sonoma County as the diocese of santa rosa loses patience with the pace of reopening for the county. One bishop has given pastors the green light to open churches despite the Public Health officer saying it is too soon. The diocese covers a wide area from petaluma up to the oregon border. Churches have opened in five of those six counties but not in sonoma yet. This begins to look like a restriction on my right to be spiritually present and available to my people. Sonoma county has seen more than 200 new cases of the coronavirus over the last two weeks. The bishop understands the seriousness of covid19 and plans to open only two churches this weekend with at limited capacity. Another bay area county is allowing barbershops and hair salons to reopen. Solano county announced they amended the shelterinplace to let shops reopen immediately. The county is also allowing places of worship to reopen. In neighboring napa county, some barbershops and hair salons welcomed clients back on wednesday but businesses like country cutters have strict rules in place. Customers may have the temperatures taken and must wear face coverings. Stylists will wear masks, gloves, eye protection and wipe down all their equipment after every appointment. San francisco has a program to help low income workers who contract covid19. Those eligible under right to recover will get two weeks of wage replacement and they may also qualify for a Free Hotel Room if they have no space to safely self isolate. Officials say the program will not consider citizenship or immigration status. The state has launched a mass hiring spree to help deal with the daily unemployment claims. That onshore flow that we know and love is making a comeback and that is why we are starting off our day with low clouds in areas around the coast and the bay. You saw that on the traffic camera. Here is the Treasure Island camera. You can see these low clouds as we start off our day looking at downtown San Francisco. It was a mild start in the 50s and 60s. It is 60 degrees in concord, 58 in livermore, San Francisco is 63 and 51 for santa rosa. Lets check the current visibility. You can see those low clouds along the coast and right around the bay, right through the golden gate gap, we have 2 1 2 miles for half moon bay, three quarters of mile in santa rosa. It is all about cooler temperatures around the coast but heating up inland. Along the coast, low to mid 60s and much cooler with the clouds, upper 60s to low to mid 70s and then heating up inland, upper 80s to low mid 90s with that sunshine and because of those hot temperatures, a heat advisory is in effect for all of our inland locations from 11 am until 7 pm. Limit your outdoor exposure and stay hydrated and safe and cool in that heat, especially in light. There is a ridge of High Pressure and that is what is keeping inland locations on the hotter side and that is going to push off to the east and then tracking low pressure systems that are going to be moving in and that will bring us the chance for some showers looking ahead to the weekend. You can see sunshine inland this afternoon and for tomorrow, all of us will see clouds for tomorrow ahead of this weather system. That is even cooler for friday. Looking ahead into saturday, we are going to see this next weather system bringing the potential of showers and isolated thunderstorms on saturday. The heat advisory is from 92 in concord and 97 in brentwood and low to mid 90s in the tri valley and upper 60s in San Francisco, mid 70s in oakland and into the mid to upper 80s for the north bay, aided in windsor. That is not even included in the 40 million although these numbers are trending lower, these are still disastrous numbers, 10 times more than where we were before the pandemic hit. A staggering number, even as they are declining slightly. Who is hiring at this point . New video, protesters and police have clashed in minneapolis all through the night in a second day of demonstrations over the death of george floyd.
