Most people already have. It is pretty interesting. More than half of the voters in the bay area have already cast their ballot. Let me explain to you how this breaks down. Early voters are coming out in Record Numbers. In sonoma county, the voter turnout is at 65 . San mateo county, 64 . Alameda county, 57 . San francisco, napa, and santa clara counties back are all at more than 50 . Unprecedented proportions and of historical proportions. Right now we have basically doubled the number of voters participating in this election. The deadline is tomorrow night. That means if youre putting it in the mail, it needs to be postmarked by tomorrow night. When you put it in a drop box, it is before it gets picked up, otherwise it wont meet that requirement. State prison officials are basing a deadline to relocate hundreds of san quentin inmates under orders from a state appeals court. That is after three quarters of prisoners got covid19 and 28 died. 12 days ago, the board ordered the state to release or relocate half of san quentin prison population, citing the eighth amendment, prohibiting cruel and unusual punishment. The outbreak began when infected prisoners transferred to southern california. Now there are concerns of the same thing happening wherever the prisoners end up. An attorney following the case says it is likely officials wont release the details after the prisoners have been moved. They are going to say for security classification reasons, we will not know where until we are done and they are there. The state has until wednesday to either comply with the court order and appeal it to the state supreme court. It is not clear if the justices would agree to hear the case. State and dozens of local officials throughout Santa Clara County are set to speak out against some political ads causing controversy. More accusations surfaced over the weekend against the Silicon Valley organization for putting out racist attack ads. Now, five members of San Jose City council say it is not the first time they used this tactic. One Council Member tells us while running against a white candidate this year, her complexion was darkened in an ad by the agency. Officials are expected to speak at 11 00 this morning. The battle between a San Jose Church and Santa Clara CountyHealth Leaders is going before a judge. Parishioners packed the pews yesterday at calgary chapel in san jose. Services are being held despite the church basing more than 350,000 experience and finds. The church resumed Indoor Services two months into quarantine, hosting up to 600 people without face coverings. The county issued a cease and desist and sue the church. The church is fighting back, hiring a team of attorneys. This is egregious and it is violating Constitutional Rights for our clients. Officials say the plan is to connect all residents with some kind of housing or other programs like one way bus tickets to anywhere in the country where they can live with friends or family. Developing the south bay, the city of milpitas is threatening a lawsuit to block the states Housing Project for the homeless. The plan called project home key converts hotel rooms into houses. The city council so they were sidelined and not allowed to weigh in on the location, the size, or even if the project was a good fit. It is a disappointment to me that there is a conflict. We have at least two lanes blocked for emergency crews. Westbound 80, once you are past all that, it is actually okay. Highway 4 itself is clear. Altamont pass, 37 minutes from 680 as the bulk of the delays are right around Mountain House. We are looking okay just until you connect onto 680. Things are slow.
