It is just a classic offshore wind setup with the area of High Pressure building towards the coast. A big hail of air in the atmosphere. It is kind of cut off from the main flow over the northern hemisphere. And air flow clockwise around the area of High Pressure and counterclockwise around low. The faster the winds accelerate, so that is why those winds will be picking up as they continue to edge closer to the coast over the next 24 hours. Lets track the winds. Most concerned about the north bay and east bay, where we are zoomed in. As we head tonight, thats where we will see more 30 Miles Per Hour gusts in the north bay and inland by the time the sun comes up tomorrow morning. A little low in the wind is possible tomorrow afternoon after the gustiest conditions will persist through midmorning. Then the winds will pick up again late tomorrow night into early friday morning. Again another time frame when there are some 40 to 50 miles an hour gusts will be possible. Futurecast indicating sonoma has the potential for those 50 miles an hour gusts. Once we get past about midday on friday. The winds are going to die down rapidly. You see the colors in the background almost disappearing. The numbers dropping back closer to reasonable levels by friday afternoon. And the weekend, looking fantastic. Plenty of sunshine, lighter winds, still warmer temperatures. So the offshore winds are associated with the clear skies overhead. And that is going to really just max out the solar Electricity Generation across the bay area. Making the most of our 12 hours of daylight. There is an abundant sunshine over san jose. Temperatures are in the 60s across the board. Anywhere from 60 in San Francisco to 68 degrees right now in santa rosa. Later on tonight, those temperatures will drop down, but not too much. The gusty winds will stir the atmosphere around to keep the cooling, mid to upper 40s by early tomorrow morning. High temperatures tomorrow are going to be a little above average with a lot of sunshine. It will be a breezy day, but the temperatures will be comfortable in san jose. Youll be one of the warm spots. A lot of upper 60s if fremont and redwood city. Along the coast, the influence of the down store wind for at least a couple of days. No big differences in the big picture temperature pattern across the bay area for tomorrow and likely again on friday with those winds still noticeable. Further down the line is when well start to see more variety in our temperatures. Its still going to be warm inland. San jose will tap out in the low to mid70s. And then retreat to closer than normal temperatures as we finish the workweek and head into the following weekend, but things are looking great. Temperatures for the st. Patricks day parade in San Francisco starting off in the low 60s, reaching up into the mid60s as the parade progresses. Then in dublin, a big day for a city named after the city in ireland. Talking about temperatures will be at 70 degrees. We do have a little cool down towards the temperature through wednesday of next week. It will be a bit more of a cool down thats noticeable along the bay and the coast. Temperatures should retreat beginning on tuesday of next week with a bit of additional cloud cover, a similar is already trend along the coast. Just a couple of days of really warm conditions tomorrow and friday. And then the ma lean influence should be a couple degrees. Just nice to see a rainfree sevenday forecast for a while. Thank you.
