Alicia wrote a letter about her love for her people. Posted it on social media. They added the three word hashtag black lives matter. The phrase captured the moment and took off i did not think that for one second George Zimmerman would walk freethe next day when i saw that post had gone viral and patrisse putting a hashtag in front of it, had allowed people to be able to follow a conversation. She and i realized there was a lot of need and energy that we werent the only people feeling like what was happening not only shouldnt be happening, but we also wanted to make sure people were doing something about it in this new political age, what im really heartened by, is that is not just in the street. That its alot of other people who realize how futures are. When this Current Administration tries to ban muslims. When we see that this Current Administration is really condoning violence against women we saw a million women take to the streets of washington d. C. And millions more all around the world to say, were not taking that anymore. And so i love seeing all these tthings converge because that is really how change happens. And she answers critics of the black lives Matter Movement this way its not to say black lives are more important. Its to say we want to get to a place where all lives do matter. If we want to get to a place where we are realizing what we know is the American Dream and we have a lot of work to do to get there. To do to get have a lot of work to do to get have a lot of work to do to get there. There. To do to get there. There. To do to get have a lot of work dream and we the American Dream and we have a lot of work to do to get there. There. pam pam pam alicia garza says, while some on the right have called them terrorists black lives matter has never advocated violence.
