Regardless of if youre at the embarcadero, like seen here are further inland. Were all looking at well, above average. Below average temperatures, we are seeing a little bit of fog. Gray still hanging out at the coastline for the rest of us, though, skies officially brightening up now look how Cool Temperatures are. Were at 10 00am and were barely crack in the low 70s for brentwood in vacaville right now. Lot of us like berkeley, San Francisco petaluma still in the 50s. So it really has been a cool morning thus far as we move into the afternoon, temperatures will eventually get back to the 70s and 80s. But for inland spots, this is going to feel a whole lot cooler than youve gotten used to. Ive got the rest of your forecast, including that weekend. Warmup all still ahead during james. Thanks a lot, john. 10. 0, 1, in the developing story this morning. Were still talking about that massive fire in San Francisco that we covered yesterday. Because now were talking to people in the neighborhood who say they cause saw this coming. Yeah, interesting. The neighbors say that a nearby tent encampment, they seen fires set there for months. They were always worried it could spread to a building nearby crawford. Michael thomas standing by live in the city with more on those concerns. Michael . Good morning, everyone. You know, and the Neighborhood Association tells me that this actual construction site had a fire just a few months ago. Take a look. Neighbors have been excuse me, not neighbors, but officials have been here deconstructing whats left of this construction site that was eventually going to be an apartment building, but obviously did not make that. You can see theyve already taken down 2 stories and this is at the corner of octavia boulevard and oak street and fire officials tell me really theyre trying to get it taken down quick because its just one away from possibly falling over, you know. But lets get and a video from yesterday. You can see just how massive that fire was. It happened just before 6 oclock and the hayes valley Neighborhood Association tells me that they did see this coming in that they actually reached out to city leaders back on may 30th at that time. They were telling them that they were afraid that a fire would break out this big because theyve seen numerous fires in the area. They say that there was even a car lit on fire behind this construction site. At one point and april, there was actually a fire at that construction site that they had reported and take a look at the letter that they actually sent out. Weve got some of it up on your screen right now saying, quote, our neighborhood and our city is literally being trashed and set on fire. And you all are doing nothing about it. Were asking you to take these issues seriously and remove encampments that pose a danger to our community when we report them instead of throwing your hands up in the air and quote, i do want to mention that the investigation what caused this fire has not been completed. But take a listen to what neighbors say regarding the encampments nearby. Yes, ive seen my home my morning fire at the corner. One say so home last night trying to food. It went out of control. And i saw how firefighters came from now, the aftermath, you know, today, as you guys had seen, its really just completely ruined. And if you come back out here live, you can see fire officials are here. Theyve been coming and going all morning trying to figure out how to deconstruct it again. Theyve already taken down 2 stories, but in the corner of the building which are not able to see because of the trees, its still really high up. Its probably about 4 or 5 stories higher in the air trying to get that taking off soon as possible. But the company that theyve outsourced to take it all down has other things going on. So i did reach out to the city once they respond. Well go ahead and give you guys an update. But thats a very latest here from hes valley and Michael Thomas send it back to you. Thank you, michael.
