The report says the captain asked copilot to reset the wing flaps, but he apparently heard 15 degrees instead of 5 degrees on the flaps and the pilots immediately realized mistake as the plane started pitch down and started speeding up. Ella Railroad Officials in the east bay are replacing a section of Railroad Tracks in san leandro some 7 years after a car got stuck on the tracks and it was hit by a train killing a mom and her 3 yearold little girl. The deadly crash happened back in 2016 at the time. Investigators say it was not clear if the mom even saw the train coming because the tracks cross the road at an angle. The tracks that were built back in the 18 60s are at washington avenue and chapman road. Also improve the angle at which pedestrians cross the Railroad Tracks essentially at 90 degrees, increase the chance that they actually see the trains as well as hearing them. So as a heads up, that intersection is going to remain closed to traffic through at least sunday while crews replace the tracks.
