Gas prices are soaring in the bay area and many are wondering when drivers are going to get a break and whether it will come before the start of the Summer Vacation season. Kron fours will tran has more. We are getting reaction from drivers this morning and it is not a happy reaction because people like chloe are filling up. You went in there and you said 50 is probably all you can afford right now. What do you think about gas prices going up and up and up . Yeah, its pretty ridiculous. I mean, i remember pandemic prices. It to 50 at one point. So most kind of triple now. This is one of the more expensive gas stations do you shop around or you just need the gas this morning . I just needed gas this morning. I will shopping around in the city is pretty difficult, though. I feel like a lot of the other gas stations are. This price, if not maybe a little bit higher. This is a little higher than the california average of 5. 45. Starts 5. 69. Doesnt make me feel better, right . You dont want to waste gas looking for cheap gas. Yeah. Exactly. And you say its about 100 to fill er up. And now its about its getting close to 75. Yeah. Probably a few months ago, as i could say 40 45. Yikes. Thats a big difference. I know youre going raise the gym so they work off your frustration. Thank you so much for that. Will swing our camera over here and well show you the gas. Price is 5 and 0. 69 at this shell gas station across the street. A chevron, youre looking at 5. 69, as well. Just to make it, you know, little saturday for everybody. I drive gas car as well. So this is what we are facing its 0. 4 more this week. 0. 21 more since last month. 0. 59 more since the beginning of the year. Take a look at your screen really quickly. We want to show you some of the gas prices all over the bay area. Lets start off in napa county. Youre looking at 5. 72 this morning. Marin county in the middle your screen. 5. 63 Contra Costa County 5. 53. And santa clara county, 5. And 0. 52. And i wish i can give you some good news. A chloe still here says biden looking at her bank account. Unfortunately, we will continue to climb and climb the climb because they say it will peak in july. Talk about our forecast now with this live look outside at the embarcadero clouds winning today. We have meteorologist kyla grogan in the Weather Center with details are going to see. Any breaks and not likely we could see a few here and there, but its really going to be cloudy day today. For the most part. You can see it as we take a live look from the east bay. Its cooler. I think thats really the big picture here is yesterday. We got up into the low 80s in spots like santa rosa ca kurt san jose. By the way, we also got there in livermore. And napa yesterday, San Francisco just up to 62 because obviously we did have the cloud cover here yesterday for quite a bit, too. But today, look at the drop in these temperatures. Im expecting more than 20 degrees. You know, drop in some spots 15 to 20. Were looking out for 60s for inland spots today as opposed to 80s. Thats a big difference. And you can see thats where we are already in san jose at 62. 64 in dublin, just 59 in berkeley. 58 here in downtown San Francisco. And you work your way up to the north bay. You can see those clouds really hung out a bit because were still just in the upper 50s. Thats why not expecting a whole lot from temperatures today. Now we are a little gusty out there. Were going to see that wind continue. It is a southerly flow. And you see that very pronounced today. You can see it will continue get a little bit of a southwesterly push as we get into the afternoon. But just look out for that. If youre going to be on any of the bridges today going cross, if youre in a highprofile vehicle, youll likely feel that. So this is our low pressure sitting off the coast. It is certainly bringing the clouds here. Notice its bringing a Little Energy towards the sierra were some lightning is picking up a few showers as well. Look at that. Well defined swirl. That is right there. You can see how its driving all those clouds in. So as i mentioned, highs will be limited today instead of 80s. Were looking out for 60s inland, maybe a 70 degree mark, a spot like antioch. But obviously its going to be a much cooler run. And as we kind of look at this, low pressure is in control of the kind of stays there until we head into about friday. This is thursday. We do have that chance of a sprinkle come in thursday into friday. Then we get zonal again, as you see things kind of even out here in those temperatures will pick up a little bit as we get into sunday monday. So if you are in napa as an example, the average high of 73 and you can see here that were not going really get there until we get sunday sunday monday. So a little bit of a cool run. Ill be back a little bit. Well talk more about your 7 day forecast. Happening tonight. Paul to teachers will hold a rally asking for better pay because of the high cost of living in the bay area. The pier was built back in the 70s. Officials say there is a plan to replace it all together, but that construction has not started. We want we want to add some people in this draft. But, you know, needs is an interesting theyre not a lot of needs on this team. Theres but but theres things like a couple years out. Theres things a year out and then theres got theres opportunities where guys can come in definitely in tune to who we draft and just buddies from college or whoever in life. Get drafted. Its its a its a pretty big thing for, you know, kids growing up that they give us your name on tv, get drafted and an opportunity to go live out their dream. So i think its always cool time of year for shares. The draft is always really important. Obviously see how how has been here in guys. Im playing a lot of a lot of snaps, you know, as rookies and as Young Players here and this organization and be a stable players for us. And so i am excited about the draft. You know, every years important for the draft, even as theyre focusing on the draft coming up this week, one notable absence looms large for the fortyniners wide receiver. You can see its kind of a gray day out there right now. And we have colgan in the Weather Center with details on whats happening outside. Yeah, hey there. And it is a great day all the way around, as you can see here as we take a live look from San Francisco in half moon bay, you can see mount tam is just socked in east bases. That cloud cover to even san jose. And certainly at the Golden Gate Bridge least we can see the bridge today yesterday. We could hardly see it. We also have a little bit of wind out there. You can see the trees wrestling a bit as we take a live look here at quite hours. So temperatures obviously reflecting the fact that we have the clouds out there and we are much cooler. No wild 80s today, folks. We are at 56 in San Francisco, 60 in oakland, low 60s. All the ways you can see from san jose to livermore to concord, santa rose even below that just 58 in half moon bay. 55 degrees. So i mentioned were a little breezy. Youve got the southerly flow is. Weve got low pressure kind of sitting off the coast that will be with us throughout the day today and notice some of this energy. And you see that swirl of clouds right there showing you where that low pressure system is. It is setting not just the clouds in, but you notice a little bit of energy making it to the sierra and kicking up a little lightning up in elevation as we get that uplifted, there is a kind of goes up so today well have the clouds with us. You can see by tonight its going to really rebuild back in notice that coastal drizzle possibility yet again. So that means we wake up tomorrow morning. Not only do you have some of the fog to contend with in the clouds, but perhaps a little bit of a wet road as well. I think particularly for the north bay. Now tonight happens to be a full moon. I did actually catch a good glimpse last night here in San Francisco. I know not everybody was able to see it, but if you do get some clearing tonight, check it out. It should be beautiful temperatures about 47 to 52 degrees and certainly the clouds are going to be a part of the taking san jose is an example. You can see these temperatures are going to just be hanging out in the below average range as we head through saturday. Now on the other side of that, things are going to start to improve. And you see that here, right . As we head into sunday and monday, we get back to what our really seasonal temperatures in some beautiful sunshine. So i think the weekend is looking pretty good. But obviously, today, tomorrow were going to have this cloudy skies clear temperatures thursday and friday we add and a chance of a little bit of drizzle, slight chance of a shower. I dont think it will be much. Well be measuring it in 107 inch. But well certainly be the day that youre going want to have that jacket with a hood with you. And then as we get to the weekend, right on cue, we get a little sunshine back and we will pick up those temperatures as we head into sunday monday. So wont be though, wildly warm weekend we had last weekend, but i think it will still be a nice one. If you have outdoor plans back to you sounds great.
