David de pap already convicted in federal court, but now its state prosecutors who want to get their hands on him. The charges a little bit different than federal court. And because the crime allegedly happened in San Francisco. Thats why its going to be handled also by state prosecutors. Now, let me show you the video. This all went down on october 2022, when david de pap is accused by state prosecutors of going to the pelosi home in San Francisco. They say he was looking for then speaker of the house, nancy pelosi, but she was not home at the time after that, according to paul pelosi, her husband, he woke up seeing david de pap at the foot of his bed when Police Officers arrived. Body cam footage shows that david de pap hit paul pelosi on the head to times and he suffered a fractured skull that he will have to wear plates on his skull for the rest of his life. Now, the charges in state court reyna f little bit different in federal court. The state charges include attempted murder, burglary salt in federal court. And the reason why it reached the federal court is because nancy pelosi is a federal official. So they were able to go after him in that particular court. And actually he was sentenced last week to 50 years, maximum for what he did in that court. Now, state prosecutors, they will begin their trial and that should begin about 9 oclock this morning with the first step. Of course, selecting a jury. Not too far away. The Sheriffs Office at the time is hosting a routine Tactical Training class which is being held inside an isolated part of the jail. But Officials Say somehow gas from the building inside got outside the building, making its way to the school, which this is the first time they say that it happened in the last 20 years as theyve been doing this routine training for that long. And the Sheriffs Office did put out a statement. Its up on your screen now saying these trainings are critical to Law Enforcement because they allow peace officers to test the safety of equipment for potential leaks and they provide staff with handson experience with chemical agents, preparing them both physically and mentally for real life situations. We sincerely apologize to protest a Elementary School, its faculty and students and their families for this unforeseen event, which must have been especially scary for children. And quote, now, as of now, they have postponed any of these trainings and things doing with chemicals as they continue to investigate and figure out just exactly how those chemicals left the building got out of and essentially made its way here to the Elementary School. But back out here live, were planning to chat with some parents this morning. And i will tell you reyna, it is quite windy out here right now. So i can essentially see how that wind can blow something from one area to another. And keep in mind there right next door to each other. That is the very latest here in saint bernard. Michael thomas will send it back to for so unfortunate that happened to the kids. Thank you for that. Michael. A San Francisco prostitution sting operation led to 30 people being arrested.
