According to records one hour after he was admitted to highland he was calm. Three hours later his restraints removed. Another 45 minutes after that he was cleared for release. He spent less than nine hours in treatment. Eight days after threatening he would he killed his brother. Kevin would have still been lead living may 15. Demetrius shouldve been detained. Reporter she filed a complaint against the state for releasing demetrius and canceling his mandatory hold. I want them held accountable. Reporter state Health Investigators now agree with part of this grieving mothers complaint. The er staff failed to make a followup appointment to assure he did not attempt suicide or harm others. No followup doctor or primary care doctor were listed on the instructions. The signature lines for the patient and a witness to sign were left blank. This is a statement by Alameda Health after we questioned them. Providing the highest quality care for those we serve is a priority. The Alameda Health center. System. They did not do it for demetrius. They wont do it for anyone.
