Highway 128 into and out of calistoga and highway 128 near Lake Berryessa and parts of highway 121. Parts of highway 12 have reopened. There hasnt been much of a commute between santa rosa and petaluma. Its understandable since people have been tending to other things. This is a look at 80 westbound. Vacaville, fairfield and vallejo. This has been okay. Traffic has been a little slow on the carquinez bridge. If you are driving from the carquinez bridge to the macarthur maze, its taking 18 minutes. When you get to the bay bridge there is a slight delay in some lanes. The city of calistoga remains under mandatory evacuation. So far flames are still outside the city limits. Rob malcolm spoke with a couple of holdouts who have not left yet. In Mendocino County and the fires burning north of highway 20, they are north of ukiah, west of Mendocino National forest and have burned more than 43,000 acres. Containment is at 10 . Eight people have died and 8000 have evacuated. Mendocino county sheriff said the changing wind patterns are his biggest concern. On monday, a lot of the main roads were closed, 37 and 101 this morning we have closures but most are on side roads and not the freeways. You can see that as we push in, traffic on highway 101 has been open but many of the off ramps are closed. Hopper, river and bicentennial. After that it does look okay from santa rosa to petaluma. Theres not been much of a commute in this area as people have been asked to stay off the roads and people have been doing that. Traffic has been very light. Highway 128 in and out of calistoga is still closed northwest of calistoga and highway 128 in the lake areas that area is still closed for fire at city. Lets move to the commute on 580 westbound, altamont pass. Traffic is a little slow after 205 toward livermore. More traffic no major traffics on interstate 880 and in the east bay can you. Highway 24 has opened. We had some trouble overnight in the caldecott tunnel. All the tunnels are open. The westbound bay bridge, traffic is light with a few lanes a little congested.
