Theyre investigating whether two shootings yesterday morning were connected. The first shooting was at 8 30 yesterday morning in the starbucks parking lot at lincoln and jefferson. The person were rushed to the hospital. The shooting victim was a man in his 60s or 70s, he was shot in the chest and he is also in the hospital. Its unusual to have two incidents ofthis type, basically within 90 minutes of each other. It just doesnt happen. They arrested a man in his 20s near that second shooting scene, they also recovered a weapon. The time is 4 33, the Freemont Police detectives recovering after being hit by a car and the person allegedly driving that car is a woman trying to get away from authorities. Ktvu henry lee shows us what happened. Reporter Freemont Police were investigating the theft of a honda suv, there were two women in the suv when detectives tried to stop them in hayward. The woman driving the suv threw it in reverse and hit a Unmarked Police car and a woman got out and started running, and the detective began chasing the woman on foot and the other woman rammed the police car and hit the detective and the woman he was chasing. The woman fled for a mile away and she rammed a Police Vehicle before she was taken into custody. We had an injured officer, an injured passenger and, obviously, communication, we had to coordinate with the hay ward Police Department. Police in london launched an investigation into Sexual Assault allegations with actor kevin spacey. Spacey sexually assaulted him in 2005. Theyre investigating two similar complaints against kevin spacey. Hes been accused of Sexual Harassment by 15 other men in england and here in us. And sheriffs deputies arrested one of their own. The deputy allegedly sanctioned the beating of an inmate by a group of other prisoners. Reporter alameda sheriffs deputy tracy faces charges in his role of a mistreatment of a prisoner in jail. He was beat up by 5 to 6 other inmates. It appears the deputy knew when he put this inmate in this particular location that the likelihood that they would assault him was high. Sergeant kelly says hours before the beating, they got into an argument. Maybe as retaliation and retribution, he sanctioned this assault to occur. The sheriff launched a criminal investigation after fellow deputies and jail Staff Members reported it to a supervisor. 2 dozen inmates were interviewed. And now the officer faces felonious assault. This has to play out in the criminal courts, this is a sad day for us, were not afraid to wesee someone within our own en organization doing wrong, well hold them accountable whether it is administratively or criminally. Yesterday that fog made it past the golden gate east to west, complete opposite to what we see, last check it said cloudy. Tb had a third of an inch.
