But the hit and run driver left the scene of the accident. Tonight as we spoke with that emotional sister of the victim she says she is now caring for those children left behind. It is a terrible loss. Terrible. She was only 27 years old. She has two beautiful babies. Reporter she realizes her younger sister is never coming back. Now she wants whoever was behind the wheel to step forward. Someone has to be out there at 8 40 at night. At a lit gas station to see this woman mowed down. Somebody. Reporter 27yearold Lori Van Walker was killed friday night in an apparent hit and run. According to the police at 8 48 she was walking near sonoma boulevard and lewis brown road when she was hit by a silver honda or a large suv or van, the driver leaving her body in the road. I have forgiveness in my heart i just want to know, why would you leave somebody on the street like they are a piece of trash . Or like a dog . You know, it is hurtful. The mother of two leaves behind two young girls while the Police Investigate she wants to set the record straight about her sister. She had a job, she was not a transient. She was basically going to walk around and meet some of her friends that were transients. Reporter after losing both parents the family tragedies continue. One of my sisters died in a fire, one of my sisters died from crib death and now my sister got hit by a car. Reporter now they are hoping someone will step forward and do the right thing for the family. I have four children myself, okay, they are without a aunt, their only aunt. A lot of heartbreak for this family. This was the third fatal collision there this year. Anyone with information is asked to call the police. As they often do in cases like this the police look at Surveillance Video, wanting to check if there are cameras around that area. You were there today, did you happen to see any . Is that something the police were pursuing . We did not meet her at the scene. We did see the Surveillance Video. We did see the accident scene, a gas station nearby and we talked to the police.
