Police department say facial Recognition Software can help catch criminals, but critics say the technology has led to misidentification, often involving people of color. Last month San Francisco became the first city in the country to ban city agencies from using the technology. The Berkeley City Council is set to consider a similar ban next month. A new state law that places new restrictions on the sale of ammunition is set to go into effect next week. Prop 63 was passed in 2016 with 63 of the vote. We are told that starting july 1st, anyone who wants to buy ammunition in california will first have to pass a background check. Reporter californias governor touts the states new gun law pointing to other recent gun measures that prove regulations work. A significant decline in the gun murder rate in the states, it goes well beyond the trendline nationally. Gun safety laws save lives.
