Talk about what things were like, how bad it was and what you had to go through to find something that helped. Thank you for having me. I suffered from chronic migraines for about 25 years and was on Traditional Pharmaceuticals all that time trying to beat the migraines. As many people know, the pharmaceuticals often only help with the symptoms and even then it kind of made me a zombie. After 25 years i stumbled upon medical marijuana in the state of california. I found the high cbd not only help me manage my pain but eventually i actually got rid of my migraines altogether and my green free for six years, migraine free for six years. You still think people have a preconceived notion youre taking it to get high but not the case . Absolutely. That is a great way to start. I microbus my cannabis with a small amount of thc in larger amounts of cbd throughout the day. The atlas drink beverage will help me throughout the day and i have the onetoone cbd vaping cartridge with that is onetoone cbd to the thc. So on an arduous hike like this you dont want have to worry about muscle cramps and pain. It helps with the inflammation and the lactic acid feeling and the dull aches you get throughout that time and help you push through a little bit. I will be hiking 10 to 13 miles a day. Just a couple of drops . I take 10 to 20 milligrams per day under my tongue. Dosing with cannabis is very specific and individual to each person. It seems like it could be trickling complicated. Everyone responds differently to all types of chemicals, so how do people navigate that . We say go low and slow. Start at the minimum viable dosage and slowly work your way up. The problem with cannabis, too often people take too much and they say its not for me. Its like so many other things in life, you have to start at a minimal and ease into it. The last thing i will take with me is products that help me sleep at night and i will be sleeping on the ground which im not used to. You will be caring everything with you on your back. Yes, everything with me and i micro does thc at night at 2. 5 milligrams and i love these dummies gummies. I start saturday from yosemite all the way to mount whitney. Your cast carrier docked at alameda and now to let us know what plans the ship has in store to celebrate we turn to the uss hornet Mike Mccarron joined us from alameda live on the hornet. How have you been . Reporter doing well, thank you. I was thinking about children these days and when you think of euros, a lot of them think of athletes. Im in guilt of that and going back to joe montana no. But going back to 1969, the astronauts were the heroes. Ask you where you were on july 20, 1969, and your thoughts about the mission . Reporter i can tell you exactly where i was. At my parents house in carmichael, a suburb of sacramento. I was with my grandparents, my sisters and my folks and we were watching those grainy black and white images in our living room. Summer gets warm and it was probably 105 that day in sacramento but this is still an iconic image. I knew the astronauts like some no ballplayers. Neil armstrong, buzz and Michael Collins, sheppard and all these guys, i knew their names and missions. That would be just like those that knew willie mays, babe ruth or hank aaron, they were that big of euros to me at that time. You are there and tomorrow is a big date what you guys doing to celebrate the 50th anniversary . Reporter it is a big day. Tomorrow is the anniversary of the landing and this is an all day all evening event. We open the doors at 10 and go until 5 pm. We have a variety of Community Events and people from nasa ames and the Kennedy Space center. We have the portable planetarium brought in with the Virtual Reality food. Suppose get the idea what its like to walk in space. I think the best part is that we have some of the original crew members that were covered the astronauts during that mission. We have the flight system set with three astronauts. We have the pilots of the helicopter, rescue swimmers. We have a guy that was a navigator on the bridge when they would come up close to retrieve the capsule. This is an opportunity for the public not only to read history and experience history but the talk with the men that made the history. It is open to the public and please come down. We would love to see you and we have many exhibits and events. They have moonwalk so you can see the moon rock up close and personal. It is one little gem in the bay area and we would like everyone to come out and enjoy this amazing history in the bay area. Just last week i was walking and watching a new documentary inputs from the astronauts. I was watching it with my children, 9 and 6. They were clued just like i was which i thought was pretty magical. I want to take them to the hornet to experience that. I know you from your days in San Francisco international, and now that youre at the hornet, whats it like to be part of history working on that historic Aircraft Carrier . Reporter whenever i talk with Community Groups or public groups, the first words out of my mouth is by the great honor and privilege of being the executive director of this museum. I mean that wholeheartedly. Im standing just beneath into my right from the painted footprints of neil armstrong, buzz aldrin and Michael Collins after they step back on planet earth from being on the moon. Every time i walk past these footprints i cannot tell you how fortunate i am to be part of this history and exhibit. Behind the is a trailer and it looks like a plane trailer but at that time it was being used as the mobile quarantine facility. Scientist did not know if there were any viruses on the moon that could be brought back to earth and contaminate earth so they were put in quarantine over here. This helicoptered is the heat seeking helicopter picked up and an exact replica of the one that picked up the three astronauts. The most famous last mission was picking up tom hanks at apollo 13 so it has a lot of historical value. We have the moon rock, and all these great events. It is an honor and privilege to be here. I got on stage and i loved it. I never wanted to be an entertainer and everybody wanted to be rapping, since will smith was rapping. When i saw comedy i thought i could do that. What is it like when you grab the microphone and i see them grabbing it and taking it off the stand and it must be a great feeling knowing i will sink or swim with this. Its like im the jedi and that is my lifesaver. I get it, and i am anointed at that moment. Are the hecklers the darkside or what you do with them . I destroyed hecklers. I still get hecklers because they come to deray davis to roast somebody. They say talk about me, please. I love it. It is instant gratification with comedy. Its unlike the movies and i do love doing movies and i want the directors and the like deray davis, i knew you could do the movies. I love doing the movies but like you said, stepping on that platform with audience, they know what they are coming for. You have also done some roles in dramatic tv. You have one you prefer more, and another that comedy is your roots but is there something you draw from those roots help you on the screen . Of course, is called being a parent. My daughters older and he gets more dramatic and she is now 18. I think that to the screen during the snowfalls, the empire and the planet. They bring back the okay looking bad guy, and you know what i mean. I dont have to look like i am completely grimy to do the dirt. My daughter draws a lot of that. I have to be nice and i have to be mean but i to be nicemean. Its very crazy on tv. The comedic timing probably helps you to do comedy on a film, right . Because you have it already. Youre used to interacting with people. I think the only thing you get lost in is that you move around a lot as a comic. I have to stay here or otherwise you dont see me but i think is a comedian you get much more freedom. Your off a leash whereas in doing the movie you get stuck in it. Along those lines is there anything offlimits on your comments before we run out of time question mark anything supersensitive at the moment, i think theres time and place for everything. I am not one of those comedians that do but you know what to say and how to say it. Lets catch up and are you doing any matinee . A lot of shows, 7 30 pm, 9 45 pm, saturday and sunday at 3 pm and 6 pm. Congratulations. Apparently im underdressed because look at these outfits, you look like supermodels up here.
