And the north bay and a small part of San Mateo County people are bracing this morning for the possibily another round of pg e power shutoffs today. Pg e is expected to tell us sometime this morning how many customers will lose power and where those power shutoffs will be needed because of high wind and fire danger. The pg e has warned 184 the pg e has warned 184,000 customers in 17 northern and Central California counties they could lose power. That includes about 35,000 customers in sonoma, napa and San Mateo County. Here is a closer look at the area and napa county that could lose power. This includes 7500 customers in the city of napa, calistoga, lake berryessa, st. Helena and nearby areas. In sonoma county, almost 27,000 customers could lose power. They are all in the eastern part of the county including the city of sonoma, santa rosa, windsor and gordon bell. And in San Mateo County less than 400 customers in and near woodside, san gregorio and the honda could lose power. Pg e says any blackouts today will not impact as many customers as the last safety power shut off. The owner of bettys fish and chips on sonoma highway says the last blackout cost them 1000 in lost food and beverage. That means workers without wages or tips. They say having the outage on a wednesday means they cant really prepare for their usual wednesday delivery since they may or may not have refrigeration. The city of santa rosa is making preparations to operate sewer and Water Systems with generators but that still leaves concerns about traffic lights. Last time we had 39 intersections without power and a significant number of collisions and injury accidents. We are working to keep that from happening again. Local government offices are making contingency plans for workers and the public they serve in case they are affected. Tomorrow a group of pg e customers and activists plan to protest at the California PublicUtilities Commission meeting in redding. They are against what they call a bailout of Utility Companies. Demonstrators rallied outside the california puc San Francisco office yesterday. Protesters say californias proposal shields pg e from future wildfire liability. The plan also creates a 21 billion Wildfire Insurance Fund which would be accessible to Utility Companies to pay damages to victims of wildfires are caused by utilities. Im super frustrated. We are having to pay for bailing out a criminal corporation and at the same time they have the audacity to literally leave people in the dark through these plan power outages. Pg e will have to submit a bankruptcy reorganization plan if it wants to have access to that fund. Firefighters in los angeles are preparing for conditions to take aturn for the worse this evening. Today is survivor of childhood sex abuse by a priest will announce his lawsuit against the Oakland Diocese and the brothers of the christian school. Survivor said he was sexually abused by brother joseph gutierrez. Who he claims the brothers of the christian school, a religious order new of brother gutierrez Sexual Misconduct but did not report the abuse to any Law Enforcement agency. Instead he said they transferred brother gutierrez to De La Salle High School where he was abused by a priest in 1969. This is one of the first suits to be filed under the new law that gives the child sex Abuse Victims more time to file. Police in san jose are trying to track down a man suspected of molesting a 13 yearold girl. Officers released this sketch of the suspect in hopes someone will identify him. Police say the man approach the girl several times between august and september while walking her dog on the los Alamitos Creek trail. The victim said the man allegedly touched her inappropriately. The suspect is believed to be 6070 years old and speaks with an accent. More than two decades after a young mother mysteriously vanished and Half Moon Bay, her family is still searching for answers and detectives are asking for your help to solve this cold case.
