Vallejo police are trying to figure out if this was the work of a single shooter or multiple people exchanging gunfire. Four people in the hospital after a shooting at a Holiday Party in east oakland. On 34th avenue near foothill boulevard. So far police havent given any information about what led up to the shooting or whether theyve identified. A man in san jose was found unconscious on east santa clara and south 24th street around 2 00 this morning. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. Investigators ruled out a Traffic Accident as the cause of death. Theyre investigating the case of a homicide but wouldnt elaborate. A woman was killed in a multicar crash on interstate 80 in berkeley this morning. The chp says the crash involves four cars, one of which caught fire. The first car spun out in the roadway near the gillman street exit around 5 00. Three other cars crashed and one burst into flames. One of those drivers died. The people in the other car suffered minor injuries. An update to a story we told you about during the 10 00 news. We learned that this dog, lola, has been returned after someone literally stole her off her owners porch. The theft happened this afternoon in the vernal heights neighborhood. Surveillance video captured a woman grabbing the dog and walking away. The owner tells us that whoever took lola brought her back home tonight. In oakland, some mothers who took over a vacant home will be in Court Tomorrow facing eviction orders. It was taken over by four mothers and their children in november. Its been vacant for years and theyd they needed a home. Wedgewood, a Real Estate Investment company that bought the house in july evicted the women on december third. Oakland Community Land trust offered to buy the home and rent it to the working moms. But the moms Attorney Says the Real Estate Company wont negotiate with them. There are roughly 4,000 vacant houses and lots in oakland. The warriors made Christmas Day extremely special for a group of youngsters in San Francisco. They were treated to a game against the rockets. But this holiday was so much better than basketball. Why this is a day they will never forget. Volunteers were up before sunrise today, preparing several thousand meals for people at glide in San Francisco. The Daily Free Meals Program is the only organization in the city that gives out three meals a day, 364 days a year for people in need. Today is the only day of the year where they just serve breakfast and lunch. The organization put on a holiday breakfast for 800 and a lunch with ham, turkey and all the fix ibs for about 1,300. At a lot, being on the streets, not eating. But coming in here, getting a meal, especially on a holiday, it means a lot. In addition to serving breakfast and lunch earlier today, volunteers also brought 200 meals to Homeless People in encampments in the city and delivered boxed dinners to people who are homebound. Also in San Francisco, hundreds of volunteers spent Christmas Morning preparing meals for people who cant leave their homes. The Salvation Army has been delivering these dinners for more than 50 years. Reporter as santa was wrapping up his overnight deliveries, volunteers for the Salvation Army woke up early to begin theirs. More than 500 volunteers showed up on Christmas Morning to prepare meals and then hand deliver them to thousands of San Francisco residents to who cannot leave their homes because of illness or age. We have had a shorter Holiday Season because thanksgiving was later this year, which really affected us at the kettle. We had six less days of giving in the kettles. So were a little down right now.
