Supervisor preston says hes reached out to the state department of Public Health and San Franciscos Health Department to try to find out when the patients died. Ktvu also reached out to the state department of Public Health. They turned down our request for an interview. Another east bay nursing home has reported several deaths at their facility. An official at the excel Health Center care center in oakland tells us three patients have died from coronavirus. They say a total of 36 residents have come down with the virus. The facility is on high street with 99 beds. The center says they are taking immense measures to safeguard those who are not infected and isolate and treat those who are. The city of oakland is making covid19 Testing Available to anyone who lives or works in alameda county. Testing is for people with symptoms of covid19 , or who have been exposed to the virus. Priority appointments will be given to healthcare workers and those at highest risk. People looking to be tested need to register. More information is available on the citys website. San francisco Health Officials updated residence today on plans to rollout widespread testing during the webinar this afternoon. Officials said more than 12,000 residents have been tested so far, with 12 testing positive for covid19. Health officials plan to expand testing to all residents and essential workers who are showing symptoms. Uc berkeley officials are informing students about plans for the fall semester. They are working with local Health Officials to determine when in Person Instruction can resume. The nonprofit told the couple that their donation would give 19,000 meals to families in need. Google has donated 49,000 new productive face shields to healthcare workers in Santa Clara County. The company dropped off the face shields today at the Santa Clara ValleyMedical Center. They will be used at several facilities, including hospitals, clinics and Nursing Centers to help protect workers from the coronavirus. The shields were designed and assembled by teams at google. They didnt just make them, they actually partnered with us to ensure they would meet the needs of our firstline responders who are taking care of patients at Santa Clara CountyMedical Center hospitals and clinics at other hospitals around the county.
